Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) discusses the controversy surrounding the Epstein files.
Transcript
00:00Question for you. Do you think that the administration should release more on the Epstein files?
00:06I think DOJ should prosecute crimes. I mean, at the end of the day, you know, I'm more interested in prosecutions and convictions than I am about a list.
00:14I don't want any evidence to not be admitted to them.
00:16Do you think, though, that more information, though, the public deserves to hear more about what happened here?
00:21Yeah, I mean, I think people are kind of sick of congressional reports or even, you know, special prosecutors that lay out evidence for things and then nothing ever happens.
00:32I think people are sick of the, you know, talking. They're interested in the doing.
00:36So I think that's really the only thing that's going to make this go away.
00:38The speaker said that he was not going to have a vote on this resolution calling for the release. What's your reaction to that?
00:44Yeah, I agree with the speaker.
00:45I mean, I don't really see why we would do anything other than bring Pam Bondi in and say, you know, to the Committee of Jurisdiction and say, you know, please explain.
00:55Would you want to hear her testify, Pam Bondi?
00:56Yeah, I mean, I'm not on that committee, but, you know, I really would like the Committee of Jurisdiction to bring her in and say, you know, hey, you start this off, you've got binders, please explain.
01:06You know, we are led to believe there are going to be some prosecutions.
01:10If we're going to prosecute, we assume there's going to be convictions.
01:12And I think that's really the disconnect.
01:15So I think it really takes a hearing, and then we'll see what happens after that.
01:19Do you have concerns about the way she has handled it, Bondi?
01:21I mean, you certainly teased it to make it feel like there was going to be something there.
01:25And then when you go and message and say there's nothing there, you're like, well, please explain.
01:31Which is why I think it takes a hearing, not just a list.
01:33Yeah, thanks.
01:34Appreciate it.
