00:00Courageous Faith
00:06By faith are two of the most important words in all of the Bible.
00:11Faith is believing the truth that has been revealed by God.
00:16It's also hope in what God has revealed about Himself, the world, and things to be in eternity.
00:22Faith helps us grasp the origins of the universe too.
00:26God commanded the world and the entire universe into existence.
00:31That's what is revealed in the Bible.
00:34It is faith that allows us to accept that truth.
00:37In the case of Abel, Adam and Eve's son, God made clear that people must approach him on only one basis.
00:44By faith.
00:45In other words, Abel and all individuals after him could find favor with God when they trusted him, demonstrated faith in his word.
00:54Another example was Enoch, an Old Testament individual who also lived by faith in God's word.
01:02He walked with God.
01:03He trusted him.
01:05He believed what God revealed to him.
01:07If you come to God through Jesus by faith, then you are to walk with him also by faith.
01:13It is then the walk of the believer that becomes important.
01:16But most unusually, Enoch apparently did not die.
01:21He was simply translated into God's presence.
01:25But prior to that, he believed in God after his son Methuselah was born.
01:30There's no evidence as to what God said to Enoch, but he trusted him regardless, and it became for him eternal life.
01:38Faith makes all the difference in our relationship with God.
01:42You simply cannot live a good enough life to please God and find his favor.
01:48What pleases God is when you believe him.
01:51When you put your faith in what he has revealed.
01:54If you want to come to God and be found acceptable by him, you must believe that he exists and that he is who he claims to be.
02:02You must believe everything he has revealed about himself in his word.
02:07Do you believe God?
02:09Then there's Noah, who perhaps ranks as one of the top ten most famous heroes of the faith in all of the Bible.
02:16And the reason for that is because of how much he had to defy logic and plain common sense in order to believe God.
02:24When God commanded Noah to build an ark, Noah had never even seen rain, or a storm, let alone imagine something as substantial as a floating vessel.
02:34But he believed.
02:35And his faith saved his entire family.
02:40His salvation included the salvation of his entire household.
02:44That's the power of faith it brings you to God.
02:48And now your faith is in Jesus, God's Son.
02:52He did everything for you.
02:54And when you put your faith in him, there will be no judgment for you.
02:58Only deliverance.
03:00Only life and life forever with God.
03:03That's God's promise.
03:04Will you have faith?
03:05Yes.
03:06Will you have faith?

03:08Will you have faith?
