because I didn't want to gather a complete ABC equipment, I switched off the Perma-GasZone on my PvE server without further ado because I really wanted to have a look at the wreck at Rifty.
According to the wiki, there should be good loot to be found here (in the gas). Unless this is linked to the gas, I can't confirm that. Sure, I found a rare sniper and if I had ContainerKeys I might have gotten more, but in retrospect it would hardly have been worth the effort of collecting ABC equipment.
