00:00This is, I believe, the first sketch I did on Saturday Night Live with Phil Hartman.
00:04I was a Cajun chef, and it was the highlight of my life up until then.
00:09I was just drawn into this great circle of people, the great writers, the performers,
00:16and I just felt like I was home.
00:18And they made every effort to make me feel that I was home.
00:21It used to be the highlight of my year when I would get to do Saturday Night Live,
00:25and I always cherish those memories.
00:27I think I hosted 13 times.
00:30Also, if I happened to be in New York, they would call me to fill in for a sketch,
00:34which I was more than happy to do.
00:35It was the greatest thing that ever happened to me.
00:38If they ever want me back, I'm there in a heartbeat.
00:40I'd make every effort to do that because I feel like I owe Lorne for letting me into that world for just a little bit.
00:49I've always loved it since it came out 50 years ago, and I feel kinship to it.
