00:17Son, the first Thai restaurant in the world to earn three Michelin stars. He
00:22learned to cook from his grandmother and built his team with locals who share
00:25deep southern roots. Before opening Son, Chef Ai spent years traveling through
00:30southern Thailand meeting fishermen, farmers, and home cooks. He brought back
00:34not just recipes but traditions, coal stoves, clay pots, and the art of pounding
00:40paste by hand. Son opened in 2018 and earned its first Michelin star just
00:45months later. A second followed the next year. In 2025 the third star cemented
00:52itself in history. So... anyone? But you need a mint after that.
