03:13and I've all been able to give the documents.
03:15Since we all have been able to get the documents here,
03:17and I've got the documents here from everywhere.
03:20That's how you can get us to go.

04:17verified from the West Bengal government and already they already sent to government

04:36After many days in detention, all workers from Shukrabad were released.

05:12Now, after spending many days in a detention centre, they face uncertainty.
05:19Was this a one-off or will they face more harassment?
05:23With Tapas Sengupta, Bureau Report, India Today.
05:33Human stories that hopefully will be addressed by authorities.
05:37Let me turn from there to something happier, our good news today's story.
05:41Earlier this week, stuntman SM Raju's tragic death during a film shoot in Tamil Nadu has
05:47reignited the debate over stunt safety in Indian cinema.
05:51With no insurance or health cover, most stunt artists work without a safety net.
05:56Now, actor, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has been quietly funding insurance for over 650 stuntmen since 2017.
06:08What is Akshay doing and how does it help the stuntmen?
06:11Our good news today's story.
06:13Stunt artist SM Raju lost his life while performing a car stunt on the sets of filmmaker Pierre Ranjeet's upcoming movie starring actor Arya.
06:26The chilling video of the incident that took place on Sunday went viral on social media.
06:32As the industry grappled with the loss of a talented artist, many are questioning the safety of stuntmen on film sets
06:40and the lack of any medical or life insurance for them.
06:43In Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has taken up the responsibility to provide this safety net to the action team.
06:52He has been paying almost 6 crore rupees as premium for the last 6-7 years to help provide mediclaim and insurance to stuntmen and their families.
07:02In 2017, Akshay Kumar stepped up to launch an insurance scheme for stuntmen.
07:14He started the initiative after a stuntmaster, Abdul Sattar Munna, lost his life in a road accident and his family suffered miserably as he had no insurance.
07:24That is when Akshay took up the task of providing insurance and mediclaim for these action heroes.
07:31Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Khiladi Kumar has sponsored mediclaim for about 650 to 700 stunt artists.
07:40Noted cardiac surgeon, Dr. Ramakanta Pandha, who operated on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2009, takes care of the medical treatment and other requirements.
07:51In 2016, Akshay Kumar had a gift from the movie stunt artist in 2016.
07:58In 2016, Akshay Kumar had a gift for insurance.
08:01In 2016, I had not been able to run for insurance.
08:04I had been able to run for insurance since 2002 and 2015.
08:08I have been able to run for this issue.
08:11When Akshay Kumar shared this issue, Akshay Kumar took this issue very seriously.
08:14I met Dr. Pandha, Dr. Pandha Heart Institute, Dr. Pandha and Dr. Pandha had a gift from 2016.
08:29It is not just lack of insurance.
08:31Stuntmen face many roadblocks.
08:33One needs to pay almost 4 lakh rupees to the stunt association to get a fighter card.
08:39And people who evolve to become a master need to pay almost 7 lakh rupees for the card.
08:45Without these cards, no one is allowed to work on the sets.
08:49And despite such huge fee, no insurance or security cover is provided by the association.
08:56As for the pay scale, the junior stuntmen get almost 5,800 rupees per day,
09:02while a body double gets 14,000 rupees and an assistant around 8,500 rupees.
09:08Fact remains, many stuntmen are unable to afford health insurance premiums.
09:15Artists are urging the government to step in, provide means for proper training
09:20and ensure safety measures to avoid any mishap while filming.
09:24Bureau Report, India Today.
09:26Good to know that Akshay Kumar is helping stuntmen.
09:32After all, they are the real stars, many would say, of cinema in this country and indeed around the world.
09:39That's just about it.
09:41I wrap up the news today.
09:43But as always, stay well, stay safe.
09:45Good night. Shubhra 3.
09:47Good night.
09:48Good night.
