Video: Experimental Aircraft with VK-800 Engine Completes First Test Flight in Russia

The Yak-40 flying laboratory, operated by the Siberian Aeronautical Research Institute (SibNIA) and named after S.A. Chaplygin, successfully completed its first test flight using the VK-800 turboprop engine, developed by JSC "UZGA" (Ural Civil Aviation Plant).  During the test flight, engineers assessed the engine’s performance under various operating conditions. The aircraft remained in flight for about 15 minutes, reaching an altitude of 700 meters and a speed of up to 340 km/h.
