Barack and Michelle Obama are laughing off those wild divorce rumors -- turns out the only thing splitting is their sides from all the ridiculous gossip!

00:07You know that Michelle has already said everything's fine, but we hadn't seen or heard the former

00:14president address this, and Barack Obama joined his wife on her podcast with her brother Craig

00:21Robinson, and they talked about this. And he, I don't know if he's playing coy, but he's saying,

00:28look, I didn't even know this was a thing. I don't believe that. But here is how they addressed it.

00:32It's my husband, y'all. She took me back.

00:39Now don't start. It was touch and go for a while. It's so nice to have you both in the same room

00:46together. I know, because when we aren't, folks think we're divorced. These are the kinds of things

00:52that I just miss, right? So I don't even know this stuff's going on. Right. And then somebody

00:58will mention it to me, and I'm all like, what are you talking about? Yeah. There hasn't been one

01:02moment in our marriage where I thought about Quentin, my man. And we've had some really hard

01:12times, so we have had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person

01:20because of the man I'm married to. Okay. Don't make me cry now.

01:24So, okay, a couple of things. Number one, and this is the easy one. Barack Obama is steeped in pop

01:33culture. I mean, he knew about Kanye in the White House, remember when the mic was on? He knows about

01:40stuff. He doesn't wall himself off to this. He likes it. So there's no way that he hadn't heard all

01:46this stuff. He's been going out for six months. There's no way he'd hear about it. That's the easy

01:50one. The harder one is Michelle saying, never for a second I thought of Quentin. Yes, but she also

01:58said, we have had very hard times. But Charles, she said that in the book, so she didn't say it in

02:04this podcast, which is driving me crazy because just own up. It just feels like they're sugarcoating

02:09it. She didn't say it in the book. She did not say she ever thought of leaving him.

02:13No, but she said hard times, that they'd been through really hard times together.

02:16Okay. Look, here's the backstory. That before he became a U.S. Senator, he was a state legislator

02:23in Illinois. They lived in Chicago. She worked at Billings Hospital at the University of Chicago.

02:30He had to go to Springfield, which is way far away. You don't even know where, Mr. I live in

02:36Chicago. Do you know which way Springfield is from Chicago? North. South. Oh my God.

02:40So, so he goes to land, he goes down to Springfield, and he's there a lot. And she, at the time,

02:51dealing with Melania alone, trying, you know. Melia. Melia, excuse me. Melania. Did I just

02:56say that? Oh my God. Oh my God. Melia. Melia. And, and she's juggling a career and everything

03:02else. And it was really frustrating. And they were having some seriously hard times. Of course

03:07they did. And that's what, I'm sure that's what. He talks about it in the book. I'm sure

03:10that's what she's referring to when she says really hard times. But in the book, and I

03:14didn't read it. So in the book, does she say. Never. I thought I'm going to divorce him.

03:18Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Okay. So that, it's all, it's all in line with what she had said.

03:21The only thing I'm saying that Courtney's saying is sometimes in the dead of night, you're laying

03:25there and everything's going wrong. And the other person isn't there. And at a point, it's like,

03:31so you can't do this anymore. So you think that she's had, she has had a thought of divorcing

03:35him. I'm not saying divorcing him. It's just a natural. Well, that's what she meant when

03:39she said, I never thought about quitting my man. No, but Charles. No, but what? No,

03:43because she meant. You can't even continue because you know that you don't have a point. She didn't

03:46think like, maybe not a series of divorce, but for her to say like, never or like standing back

03:51by my man, be a little bit honest. I guarantee she've wanted to leave him, to hurt him sometimes.

03:57When you're with together, when you're with someone for that long, you get a little angry

04:00at them. And so like, just be honest about it. Big Obama fans, by the way, love them,

04:05love them as a couple, but it's like, be real. You just revealed a lot about yourself.

04:43Yeah, you're right. I mean, and those rumors are BS. I mean, that was just made up stuff,

04:49I think. Absolutely. There's made up stuff leaning into the fact that their fans were certainly saying,

04:55where are they? Where are they? What's going on there?

04:57Because you don't have to be together all the time. You know, it's, you just don't.
