00:00The president will play Santa to many an item in the early Christmas wishlist of House Solon's on his forthcoming State of Nation speech.

00:07The economy and the country's approach to the West Philippine Sea issue are shoe-ins in the president's July 28 address.

00:14Likewise, the red-hot issue of online gambling that just came about of late has surged close to the top of the House's wishlist.

00:21As we hear the full story from Armella Las Moras.

00:24Twelve days before the fourth State of the Nation address of President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jenner,

00:32some lawmakers already have their wishlist on what the chief executive speech should contain.

00:37According to Lanao del Sur First District Representative Zia Alonzo Adjong,

00:41he hopes that the president will primarily address the issue of online gambling.

00:46Sa ngayon, very important na malaman.

00:49Personally, I would say because I'm one of those members who have filed for the total ban of e-gambling.

00:59I would like to know the clear direction of these administrations when it comes to regulating this kind of industry, emerging industry.

01:06For Laguna First District Representative Ann Matibag,

01:09she wants to hear about the administration's efforts on the West Philippine Sea and the state of the Philippine economy.

01:15Since the president will be visiting the United States before the SONA,

01:19she's also hoping that he will bring good news regarding U.S. tariffs on Philippine exports.

01:24I hope na with the state visit of our president, bumaba ang 20% to hopefully 10% parang Singapore.

01:34And syempre, I stand with our president's call and sa kanyang paniniwala na protectahan ang ating West Philippine Sea.

01:45As for ACT Teachers Partilist Representative Antonio Tino,

01:49the top concern that he wants highlighted in the president's SONA is the welfare of Filipino workers.

01:55Malinaw ang hinahing ng mga Pilipino.

02:01So yung paring sahod, disenting sahod at bababang presyo.

02:07So mga surveys, yan ang sinasabi.

02:09Yesterday, officials from the Office of the President, the House of Representatives and the Senate

02:14held a final inter-agency meeting for the SONA.

02:18Among the matters finalized were security plans, traffic rerouting plans and contingency measures for July 28.

02:24During the meeting, it was also announced who will sing the national anthem at the SONA

02:28and that will be The Voice Season 26 winners of Ronyo Vasquez.
