00:13but as we head in you know we've seen Scotty this year guys you know at these majors in the 350 to
00:21four range I've even seen some fives this morning plus 500s at a few spots which is obviously the
00:28longest we have gotten from Scheffler Rory's been in the seven to eight range I guess we could start
00:34it for you this way Brady out of these two guys at the top of the board who we're going to try to go
00:39after this week who do you give the better shot to for ruining our week we'll start with you Brady
00:44yeah I've actually seen Scotty as high as six to one and that's out here in Las Vegas and I think
00:51that's a pretty good number on the best player in the world now he's never finished better than or
00:56he's never finished top five at an open championship and like we've talked about it's a
01:00different brand of golf he's talked about it himself it's very different we we know what
01:04happened to Rory here in 2019 you know a lot of times we think about home field advantage in football
01:10home court advantage basketball I think home games and golf can can go the other way and I think that
01:16happened to McIlroy so much spotlight so much attention so much expectation and pressure on a guy in front of
01:22his friends and family in the home crowd and and that's really a lot to live up to and we see it
01:27you know stateside across the pond wherever you are I think these guys that oftentimes we want to go oh my
01:34gosh he's a member there of course he's going to win this tournament and it doesn't really work that way
01:38it seems like in golf I really think Scotty would be the one of the two that could upset the apple cart
01:44here more for us if you're not going to back a favorite now you look at what McIlroy did last week
01:50had a great week at the Scottish Open probably should have won the darn thing but didn't uh
01:55was not able to catch Goddard up on Sunday but you also look at that leaderboard and it was loaded
02:01with bombers and that's something to note going forward for the Scottish Open bombers seem to do
02:07pretty well there um I don't think that's the case here at Portrush I would favor accuracy off the T
02:13over distance so again I think Scotty is the bigger threat uh to take this one home as far as the
02:19favorites are concerned yeah you know it's funny Keith like people always talk like oh well the
02:24Open Championship is Scotty's worst major oh yeah is it I mean I know he's only played it four times
02:30but T8 T21 T23 T7 it's not like he's got three missed cuts in a 15 like it's not he's he's been
02:38around the place on Saturday and Sunday in the last four years yeah there's no doubt about that Mike but
02:44before we even get into all of this it's really important a lot of times we find ourselves a quick
02:48PSA we're always chasing numbers right we really need to see and everyone that's out there that's
02:54watching this you really need to see how the T times are going to play out and the pairings and then look
02:58at the really look at the weather um I would I would really recommend that people wait until Wednesday
03:04afternoon even if you see some sort of incredible number I mean you could go bet something and then
03:09when the weather comes out and we learn more on Wednesday afternoon that that bet it's not going
03:14to win you any money doesn't matter whether you got a great number or not so I just really think that
03:18you know I love this discussion about Rory and Scheffler and who's going to be the guy but at the end of
03:23the day first things first wait for those pairings and really try to figure out what's going to happen
03:27with these weather waves because last year it absolutely killed people you know that Friday afternoon wave
03:33where those guys went off the front nine and they were three shots worse than the guys that went off in
03:38the morning and that really I mean John Rahm was like one of the few guys that made it through and
03:42still top 10 it really was the difference maker for all of our wagering for the weekend it was terrible
03:48now for your question Scotty versus Rory I'm going to lean towards Rory you know the guys had
03:54disappointment in his career before last year at Pinehurst that was a tough loss I mean it's not like
03:59the type of loss that Cam and I witness all the time but that was a pretty tough loss and then he comes
04:04back a couple weeks later in Scotland and he finishes fourth it seems like the Renaissance
04:08Club is a great reset spot for Rory and now all of a sudden he gets to come back to a place
04:14where he shot 79 in the opening round after we hadn't seen golf in the open rota in over 60 years
04:21at Royal Portrush the club he grew up at the club he set the course record at 61 when he was 16 years old
04:28right I think this guy is absolutely living his best life this week because he knows he gets a
04:34second chance at a venue that he really didn't deserve after the first time and I think that
04:39he's going to be much more calm and organized this week and you know when Scotty starts playing the
04:44fair police over in Scotland and the greens don't match up and the fescue and everything you know he's
04:48in his own head I'm going to roll with Rory this week if you're asking me those two which one's the
04:53bigger threat
