00:00Actually, the Philippines and the ASEAN Office and the whole Department of Foreign Affairs,

00:05together with the concerned government agencies, have been preparing for our chairship.

00:12Yes, we are still discussing the theme as well as the priorities,

00:16but just to give you some kind of an overview,

00:20we have three basic cross-cutting issues that will be the priorities

00:30for the 2026 chairship.

00:32It will be peace and security, maritime cooperation, and climate change.

00:38These three have cross-cutting issues,

00:40and this will be more or less how it will evolve on this very important basic issues.

00:50But we're still in the process of discussion.

00:54Why so?

00:55Because Malaysia has not finished its chairship,

00:58and we are of the view that we should also build on what Malaysia,

01:05this year, on what they have done,

01:09and build some kind of a building block to strengthen ASEAN cooperation,

01:16regional cooperation.
