01:11As a prelude to the fifth ordinarization of the Cuban parliament, these leaders have

01:15started debates focused on the country's economic and social development.

01:19Over two days, parliamentarians gathered in 11 permanent working committees will discuss

01:24more than 80 issues of impact for the Cuban society, such as the energy situation, food

01:29production, water supply, transportation and health.

01:32On Monday, President Miguel Díaz Canel attended the Economic Affairs Committee, where the recent

01:37performance of the economic plan was assessed.

01:40The new session of parliament, to begin on Wednesday, July 16th, proposes a comprehensive

01:45evaluation of the government program aimed at correcting distortions and rebooting the

01:50national economy.

01:52And in an act celebrated in Yapacani, the president of the Senate of Bolivia and presidential candidate

02:02for the popular alliance, Andronico Rodriguez, called for the unity of the country's entire

02:07left for the next general elections.

02:09This call for unity is directed specifically to the former minister of government, Eduardo

02:16del Castillo, who is a candidate for the ruling movement for socialism, and to the mayor of

02:21El Alto, Eva Coppa, candidate of the movement for national renovation.

04:33Fall River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon added that when they arrived, they found heavy flames and smoke coming

04:39through the main entrance and several people hanging out of the windows.

04:43Over 30 people were rushed to hospitals and five firefighters suffered minor injuries.

04:48Investigations are ongoing to determine what caused the fire.

04:51The U.S. is on alert for severe wind storms that could cause flooding in several states.

06:17And in Syria authorities announced that they have brought under control the forest fires that affected thousands of hectares of forest and farmland in Latakia.

06:34The flames, fanned by a heat wave, devastated thousands of hectares but the joint effort of local teams and international support succeeded in containing the main fires.

06:44The Ministry of Emergency detailed that the fires that started on July 2 consumed approximately 15,000 hectares in the west of the country.

06:52Despite the difficulties, no fatalities were reported although several communities were evacuated as a precaution.

08:04Palestinian children suffer from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip. UNRWA details that the shortage of food due to the Israeli

08:11blockade has increased the number of children with acute malnutrition as well as the risk of mortality.

08:17The United Nations Children's Fund reported in June more than 5,800 children with malnutrition in the Strip.

08:24In view of this, the international institutes demand the Israeli regime to end the blockade and allow the access of aid

08:42And health officials in Palestine confirmed that at least 47 people were killed on Monday in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.

10:12condemned the plan, calling it a concentration camp and a blueprint for crimes against humanity.

10:17In this context, the Israeli army intensified the demolition of homes and civilian structures in the city of Rafa as part of its ongoing military offensive,

10:34while it lays the ground for the construction of the alleged humanitarian city.

10:38Precisely, citizens and human rights organizations report the use of bulldozers and explosives to raise entire neighborhoods to the ground,

10:46leaving hundreds of families homeless.

10:48In this context, the United Nations has warned about the worsening humanitarian crisis,

10:53with many Palestinians displaced in Rafa, lacking shelter, drinking water, and food.

10:59And in Palestine as well, the Gaza civil defense spokesman denied reports of a withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces

11:16from the Zeytun, Tufa, and Shuhaya neighborhoods.
