00:00Philippine National Police Chief General Nicolás Torre III orders the dismissal of a police in Lucena City
00:07after he had gone wild and fired shots in front of a Sarisari store, as Orion Lasigas reports.
00:13Early Saturday morning, a CCTV camera caught this man causing a disturbance in front of a store in Lucena City, Quezon.
00:31He appeared to be looking for someone while pointing a gun at a man inside the store.
00:36He also issued multiple threats. He kicked the store repeatedly.
00:43But he wasn't done yet because after the rampage, he fired his gun.
01:07The man in the video turned out to be a policeman.
01:09The suspect was identified as Patrolman Rodolfo Avila Madlangawa, a police officer assigned to Lopez Quezon.
01:16He was reportedly drunk and initially came to buy ice.
01:19But then another man arrived to buy cigarettes, whom the officer suddenly pointed a gun at.
01:25Two more customers arrived and were also threatened by the policeman.
01:29So the store owner let them inside for safety.
01:31PNP Chief Police General Nicolás Torre III apparently did not like the officer's arrogance.
01:36He immediately ordered the officer's removal from the service.
01:40Ang gusto po ng ating Chief PNP ay i-subject po siya sa summary dismissal proceeding
01:46para mas mabilis po yung gagawin na pag-mispice po sa kanya sa servisyo po.
01:50According to PNP spokesperson, Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo,
01:54the policeman has been disarmed and is now in detention.
01:56Apart from administrative charges, the officer will also face multiple criminal cases.
02:01This include grave threat, unjust dictation, physical injury, and illegal discharge of firearms.
02:08Simple lang po ma'am, mako ito.
02:11Nalasing, hindi kayang patrolin yung sakili niya nung mag-ano siya, mag-inom siya.
02:19Simple nga, lasing lang ang police po.
02:21Kaya this is really unforgivable, sabi nga ng ating Chief PNP.
02:25At yung mga ganitong klaseng police ay hindi dapat tumagal sa servisyo po.
