00:00touching our lives this is called the spirit of Haman and this is from Esther 3

00:07after these events King Ahasuerus honored Haman the son of Hamadatta the Agagite promoted him

00:16established his authority over the officials who were with him all the king's servants who were

00:21with the king's gate bowed down to him paid homage to Haman the king commanded it regarding him but

00:27Mordecai would not bow down nor pay homage Haman comes out of nowhere he rises in the government

00:36he's number two in the entire kingdom it's just the king and him everybody has to bow down to him

00:42and pay homage to him the king commanded it but it was obviously Haman the rest of the story you see

00:48that Haman's enraged with just one person who doesn't bow down he seeks glory for himself he

00:55seeks power he probably even seeks the king's job now there now there was another being in the Bible

01:03who had the same problem and he's called the enemy or hasatan he's the one who said who he said I shall

01:11ascend I will go up I will sit in the place of the most high God pride behind the Haman is the enemy

01:20the enemy's nature is pride the exalting of oneself the seeking of Godhood the first temptation you

01:28shall be as God so from the very beginning the scripture connects pride and evil evil and pride

01:36it's amazing how history bears this out you look at the most evil people in history and you'll find

01:43the correlation with pride and evil the emperor Nero pride evil Caligula pride evil Stalin pride

01:54evil Hitler pride and evil Saddam Hussein pride and evil on and on and on it goes back to the enemy

02:02the spirit of the enemy you see the more one is prideful the more one can look down on everyone else

02:08and the more one looks down on everybody else you can do what you want when you're a dictator you can do

02:12what you want with everybody else you degrade everyone and yet the spirit of humility is connected with

02:19goodness if somebody's humble they don't put down others they elevate them the enemy is prideful

02:25Messiah is humble the spirit of our culture is not one of humility but of pride the self is glorified

02:36pride pride self-centeredness is worshiped in past times people viewed heroes who were humble like say

02:44Lincoln or or in the movies the the heroes were generally humble but we don't have that now now our

02:51culture glorifies self-worship it encourages everyone to pursue yourself and so it's not an accident that

02:59such a culture ends up destroying marriages and family when everybody's seeking what they want and

03:06not others you cannot have a covenant what also did Haman do he's enraged that one person refuses to

03:14bow down Mordecai the Jew it says would not bow down to Haman and Haman becomes enraged notice again

03:23the spirit of the enemy what did he seek to make Messiah do he wanted Messiah to bow down to him

03:31that's the enemy he wants everything to bow down to him because he wants to be God what did the emperors

03:38of Rome do what do they try to make the Christians who worship them offer incense to the God Emperor

03:45what did Hitler do everybody had to hail him Heil Hitler evil seeks to subjugate everything else make

03:54everything bow down the enemy and the gods of the ancient world you had to bow down to them the enemy

04:01wants the place of God so he wants worship and so when someone gets into evil they want the same thing

04:09today we can see this the same spirit of Haman a spirit that is taking hold of our culture and

04:16seeking to make everything bow down to it in the 60s when traditional values were overturned the mantra

04:23was live and let live do your own thing if it feels good do it tolerance tolerance but that was only to

04:31overturn biblical values once these new values got in established in culture kind of like Haman

04:39rising it threw out tolerance now everybody has to conform everybody has to bow down to the

04:47morality anything that goes against it is not tolerated it's canceled or de-platformed or defunded

04:54or boycotted or fired or persecuted the spirit of Haman says everything bows down it tells you what you

05:02can say and what you can even think this is what this is cancel culture this is what happens when a

05:08culture takes God out because when a culture or nation takes God out it always ends up bowing down

05:16to other gods always in the Soviet Union they took God out the state became God the party became God

05:25Marxist doctrine became the sacred scriptures and everybody had to bow down to it and anybody didn't

05:30they were excommunicated they were brought to prison camps and executed Nazi Germany the Hitler became

05:37Fuhrer as God everybody had to bow down to what he said his book Mein Kampf became like the Bible of

05:44Germany anybody would not go with him would be sent to concentration camps it's dangerous to take God out

05:51of a culture in America as God has been removed the state becomes the final authority the culture

05:59becomes the final authority celebrities become gods movements become gods they can redefine what's right

06:06and wrong demand you bow down to it how many jobs they have re-education classes to indoctrinate

06:13employees into this new woke enlightened ideology in school it's happening to your children if you have

06:19children in school it is happening certainly in New Jersey but across the nation there are major banks

06:25that literally refuse to do any services with conservative organizations they have defunded them

06:32basically behind this ideology whether it's wokeism whether it's gender it's the spirit

06:39of Haman everyone must bow down right now in the west there are bills seeking to become laws that would

06:49take away freedom of speech that say bow down in Canada the prime minister Trudeau is seeking to push

06:55through a law that can punish Canadians for quoting the Bible on their website it's already happened

07:02in Europe the in Finland where a member of parliament posted a Bible verse and was brought to trial this

07:10woman brought to trial with a penalty of being imprisoned for three years president Biden in his state of the

07:18union address if you saw that which I'm answering this Monday on the web call for the passage of

07:26the so-called equality act what is that sounds okay nice equality no basically it would gut the distinction

07:33between male and female in federal law force Christians to bow down to gender ideology bow down against their

07:41conscience or be shut down ultimately would force Christian doctors to perform mutilation gender mutilation on

07:49children and abortions as well the Biden administration the Democratic Party has already sought to force Christian

07:56doctors to perform such procedures against their conscience and others to support it on their jobs bow down this is the

08:06spirit of Haman notice what else we see about Haman what is he like Mordecai doesn't bow down

08:14and so Haman goes into a rage that is also the nature of the enemy the dragon in Revelation 12

08:23rages against the woman that is a quality of evil the most evil of rulers were often known for their wrath

08:34again Hitler Stalin not nice people see dictators evil rulers are generally not known for their pleasant

08:45disposition they're not they're generally known for their rage so that because that goes to the enemy so the

08:52culture is increasingly raging hostility against those who follow God though conservatives Christians the

09:01president was raging at that state of the union address against those who are not in favor of basically killing

09:08unborn children the growing spirit of Haman taking over why did Haman have a problem with Mordecai well he

09:18wants to be bowed down we got that but to then launch a war against Haman's people to try to exterminate

09:26them because Haman was a threat Haman was threatened by Mordecai because all it takes is one person not to

09:34go along with a crowd and you're breaking the spell because Haman wanted absolute power absolute worship

09:42as long as there's one who says no in public that breaks the spell Mordecai would not bow down

09:50undoubtedly he would only bow down to the God of Israel and so the ultimate obstacle to Haman was God

09:59but it was demonstrated through the people of God who said I'm we're following God not man

10:04so would the enemy the obstacle to his plans you know one is the Jewish people big why

10:12because they represent God because God gave them as a witness he called it's not about them doesn't

10:21matter if they're doing good or bad it's a witness of God's existence why did those who champion these

10:28new ideologies rage at conservatives or believers or Christians because they stand in the way they are

10:36obstacles they don't go along with it they go by a they have a higher authority and that other authority

10:42is trying to claim the authority of God saying we control truth we can say what's right or wrong and

10:48change it and you have to bow down to it the amazing thing about the account in Porah of Haman and

10:55Mordecai it's not just that Mordecai refuses to bow down but that everybody else does bow down

11:00everybody everybody they weren't bowing down before but all of a sudden they make a law everybody bows

11:06down the majority tends to go along with whatever the thing is that's the way it is the people who

11:13don't are those who are true to God so this agenda this new morality sees you as a threat if you hold

11:21to the Bible you know generally it's when I do something that involves the capital or Washington DC or

11:29touches the political realm that's when these anti-Christian organizations generally left wing

11:34go crazy to attack when it affects the legal realm where they think it's a threat it can affect their

11:40agenda what is Haman seeking to do he's seeking to make everybody go along with this we have a culture

11:48it introduces a change it's almost like every year there's another morality that wasn't there before

11:55and says you got to go along with it and most people do go along with it because they just want

12:01to survive in Rome you know why Christians were fed to the lions because they were told to burn incense to

12:08the emperor as a god they said we can't do it and for that they gave their lives but most people aren't

12:16going to do that in the Soviet Union those who didn't go along with communism the people of God

12:21they were punished for it some of them lost their lives in Germany those who didn't go along with

12:26the third Reich true believers who hid Jews in homes they go they but they risked their lives but they

12:32did what was right and so now the culture the government introduces new codes of morality and most people

12:39just go along but the people of God cannot because you already have what is right you already have what

12:45you know what is wrong you have the word of God so you will be seen as an obstacle in the end days

12:52threats to this new totalitarianism everybody just goes along with it Mordecai stood the bible says having

13:01done all stand stand don't don't don't bow down stand so notice also what Haman's trying to do

13:11he's seeking to force believers or the people of God to do something that goes against God

13:19that's what the enemy does the enemy sought the people of God to bow down to Baal in the days of

13:28Ahab and Jezebel to force the Jewish exiles in Babylon to bow down to that great idol the giant idol

13:35to force the Jewish people in the second century BC to bow down to the gods of the Greeks

13:40and to force them in Rome and the believers in Rome to do the same why is that it's again and again

13:46the enemy wants to force the people of God to worship him that's why he tried to get Messiah there

13:53he seeks that the spirit of Haman is alive and well in America see the Chinese government is doing this

14:01they're doing they're they're seeking to stamp out the faith we got to pray for our brothers and

14:07sisters in China because the government's trying to wipe them out but even in the west now it's

14:14seeking to force Christians to do things against their conscience before as I mentioned doctors to

14:20perform surgeries that they say is immoral we have seen in our own day the worst global outbreak of

14:27anti-seventhism in modern times and you live to see it it's never over because the enemy is alive

14:33the beast will follow the ways of the of Haman Haman was against the Jewish people but the Jewish

14:42people back then were the people of God whether you are Jewish by birth or you're from it doesn't

14:47matter if you're you are or not you are the people of God so now the spirit of Haman the enemy hates

14:55you and that's why in our culture not only is the world becoming anti-israel more and more

15:01it's becoming anti-christian and anti-israel each is an obstacle to the agenda of the enemy

15:09and what did Haman seek to do destroy kill destroy annihilate that's evil that's what evil does

15:19you know evil always it may start out with you know a temptation hey come here this is nice a

15:26temptation you're being tempted it always ends with destruction you're being tempted for something

15:30it's always ending with some kind of destruction in your life might be obvious it might be subtle

15:35but it's always whether it's drugs whether it's sexual immorality whether it's an addiction whether

15:40it's adultery whatever it is whether it's bitterness it's it's looking good at the beginning but it leads

15:46to destruction what did bin Laden lead to destruction what did any of the Hamas destruction

15:54Mao chairman Mao in China destruction and of course again Hitler comes back to that because evil is

16:04against God and so it's against the creator so it's against the creation it ends up destroying the

16:09creation that's why you know what's happening to the children in America it's destroying them

16:14it's saying oh we're helping the children no you're destroying the children because that's what evil does

16:20even in the name of women will say women women and then they'll ban the word woman and they'll have

16:26men taking over women's sports ultimately it destroys that's the spirit of Haman destroy you know the

16:33promise of sexual the sexual revolution destroyed marriages and families before I bring this home

16:40I got to mention one more thing Haman is a shadow and of course as we're doing this on on Friday nights

16:46of the end times is a shadow of one who is yet to come who is called in the bible the antichrist

16:52or the beast how so antichrist will come to power suddenly like Haman did

16:58Haman demanded worship the antichrist will demand the world to worship him

17:03he'll be like the ultimate Haman the false prophet it says will cause the world to worship the beast

17:10Haman changed the laws of the kingdom the bible says the antichrist will change laws times everything

17:18Haman elevated evil as good and good as evil so will the beast

17:22Haman saw the Jewish people as the obstacle to his power so will the antichrist

17:28Haman saw the people of God as a threat so the antichrist will launch persecution against believers of

17:36Messiah Haman declared war on the Jewish people so will the antichrist and upon the people of God

17:45from every nation and he will do it and like Haman the day that he set for destruction

17:53for God's people will end up being the day that celebrates his own destruction

17:57because Messiah will come when he does Messiah will come

18:03in the book of Esther that the arm of God is like hidden but it's all there it's all there

18:11but in the end when Messiah comes the arm of God will not be hidden

18:15Purim relates to everybody because we're all dealing with it we're we're getting into that same that same

18:22situation spirit of Haman antichrist spirit in the world now but as Purim declares our God is stronger

18:33now at the end of the book of Esther everything that Haman tried to do fails the hand of God stops

18:41it and so for thousands of years all the attempts to wipe out the Jewish people have failed in the end

18:48that's why we still exist that's why we have a survivor today it's been stopped by the hand of God

18:55because the Lord says as long as the sun and the moon and the stars are shining on the earth the

19:00children of Israel will not cease from being a nation before me that's what he said the Bible's true

19:08in the book of Esther he not only stops it he actually turns it upside down he reverses it he uses

19:15everything that Haman was trying to use again he uses it against evil and for the Jewish people

19:21Haman built a gallows to hang Mordecai it becomes the gallows that Haman is hung on

19:27the estate of Haman is given to Mordecai to bless Mordecai the king's decree to destroy the

19:32Jewish people becomes another decree that saves the Jewish people the story is told that Hitler went to a

19:38fortune teller and asked what am I going to die and the fortune teller told Hitler you're going to die

19:45on a Hebrew holy day which one he demanded which one she said whenever you die it's going to be Hebrew

19:53holy day so think about this little Hitler joke in there the day that Haman chose to destroy the Jewish

20:06people instead became a Jewish holiday celebrating God and celebrating his salvation from Haman

20:16a Hebrew holy day called Purim Haman came up with it he cast the lofts and it fell in March and it fell

20:23on this day what does that tell you about evil evil may have its day but no matter how powerful it looks

20:31in the end it will not last it cannot prevail in the world in our culture or in your life

20:40evil is ultimately on the losing side the enemies on the losing side Haman's on the losing side

20:48and every Haman that has risen in a long line has ended up being destroyed in one way or another

20:55and you who are standing for God in the culture that's getting darker and darker no matter what it

21:03looks like listen you are on the winning side if the culture goes a certain way that's the problem of

21:10the culture you are on the winning side you're on the side of Esther and Mordecai so it could look like

21:17you're losing the enemy hates you tries to discourage you but if you're following God the way of God is

21:23victory always so it is written thanks be to God who sometimes know always leads us to victory always

21:31if you follow God it's always going to lead you but you got to keep following you got to get there if you

21:35stop you don't get there keep going and you'll get to the victory and not only that my brothers and

21:42sisters God is going to turn everything that was used against you in your life by the enemy by people

21:49for your blessing for your good he's going to turn it around

21:55and that's the promise everything in your life that was used by the enemy to attack you to

22:00maybe your child or whatever but God will use it God used it to bring you to him and salvation and

22:05he'll keep using it it's going to be every defeat is going to be turned around for joy you keep going

22:10victory every tear becomes joy God says I will turn your mourning into joy I'll restore the years

22:16the locust ate because on the side of God everybody who runs this race and keeps going is going to win

22:23this race that's how it goes everybody who fights this fight and keeps fighting you're going to win this

22:30fight and everyone who begins the course and keeps going you're going to finish the course in glory

22:36that's the promise from God so we are living in the days of Haman the spirit of Haman but we are

22:43not of him we are of those who do not bow down we're with you know we're those you know we might

22:50have our moments like you know like Esther did and you know maybe you have your fears and you went

22:54back and forth you messed up but you were to get to the point say I if I perish I perish I don't care what

23:00happens anymore as for me and my house we will serve the Lord don't be discouraged over Haman don't

23:07be discouraged by the culture don't be discouraged don't be intimidated by the spirit of Haman

23:12you are of God you are not of the world you are of victory take up the strength that God has given

23:18you take up boldness take up courage set your face to victory keep going run your race fight the good

23:25fight finish your course because the spirit of Haman is going to be vanquished but the spirit of God

23:31is going to vanquish the world is no match for the spirit of God in you
