00:17matapos isagawa ang groundbreaking ceremony ng proyekto na pinangunahan mismo ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:25Kumpiansa ang paghulo na lalong sisigla ang turismo sa bansa sa sandaling maisaayos sa passenger terminals

00:33hindi lang sa Aklan kundi sa iba pang lugar na dinarayo ng mga turista.

00:49para pasinayaan ang opisyal na groundbreaking ceremony ng bagong Katiklan Passenger Terminal Building.

01:00mga opisyal ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines

01:03at ang chairman at CEO ng San Miguel Corporation na si Ramon Ang

01:07na kaagapay ng pamalaan sa proyekto sa pamamagitan ng Megawide Construction Corporation.

01:13Well, this is a very important day. As Chairman Ramon has clearly laid out,

01:21this is what we could refer to as a much-awaited project

01:26dahil ang dami-daming pinagdaanan, nasimulaan, natigil, nalipat, maraming pagbabago.

01:35Pagbabago tayo umabot dito sa araw na ito.

01:38Ngunit, nandito na tayo. We are very happy and we are all very excited

01:42that we are slowly putting together the building blocks of our policy

01:50of opening up our areas, tourist areas, our business areas,

01:57to international travelers without having to go through the Manila Airport.

02:03It would be much easier for our tourists or for any travelers

02:08na doon na sila tumungo, kagaya dito, nandito na lang,

02:12diretso na sila dito sa Katiklan.

02:14And from here, they can go to Boracay, they can go around

02:17and see all of the tourist destinations.

02:20Marami rito ang tourist destinations.

02:22We can see all of the tourist destinations around the province

02:25and in the neighboring areas.

02:28Ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

02:318% sa GDP ng buong bansa ay nagmumula sa tourism industry

02:36at nais niya itong mapalagupa

02:38sa tulong ng pagpapatayo ng mga infrastruktura

02:41na magagamit ng mga turista

02:43para sa mas mabilis na pagbiyahe ng direkta

02:46sa mga tourist destinations ng bansa.

02:49The influx of people, of travelers is going to be a big boost

02:55to the local economy and, I might add, the national economy.

03:01Tourism right now contributes close to 8% to our GDP

03:06and that is something that we want to increase

03:09and that is why these projects that we have are also very important.

03:15We are doing the same things for many regional airports.

03:18We have been talking about Iloilo.

03:23We have made agreements in Buhol, in Siargao,

03:30and there will be others more.

03:50And that journey is to bring the Philippines once again

03:54to the forefront of the rest of the world.

03:58to the top of mind of the rest of the world

04:01that this is a place where people can invest.

04:05This is a place where people can come to have a vacation.

04:09This is a place where the businessmen can come

04:13and do business to the benefit of their own interest

04:18and of course of the country.

04:20Binigyang diin din ng Pangulo

04:22ang kahalagahan ng pagtutulungan ng national government,

04:26local government units at maging ng pribadong sektor

04:29para sa mga proyektong makatutulong sa pagunlad ng bansa.

04:33And that's why kailangan natin pasalamatan ng local governments

04:37dahil kung hindi sa local government

04:40both on the provincial and the municipal side

04:42kung hindi sa inyong tulong

04:44hindi namin magagawa

04:46at hindi namin mabubuo yung daan

04:48kung saan kailangan ma-appropriate

04:51o kailangan magkaroon ng negotiation

04:53at we always turn to local governments to help us

04:58and once again that has been fruitful

05:00and it just goes to show exactly like the governor has said

05:04when the national government, the local government

05:07and the private sector work together

05:09hand in hand, not opposite sides

05:11but hand in hand, this is what we can achieve.

05:15So we look forward to many, many more of this.
