Cong MP Randeep Surjewala accuses BJP of insulting Karnataka & treating state as money-making machine

Bengaluru (Karnataka), July 14, 2025, (ANI): At the inauguration of the Kalasavalli–Ambargondlu Bridge, Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala said, "Insulting the people of Karnataka and Kanadigas had become a habit of the BJP. This was not just an insult to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, but to the seven crore people of Karnataka. BJP treated Karnataka as just a money-making machine. They took one rupee in the form of GST and gave us back only 13 paise. They didn’t give us Rs 5300 crore for the Upper Bhadra project. They didn’t clear the Krishna Water Tribunal..."

00:55They are every day trying to only collect tolls.

01:05Has Mr. Nitin Gadkari built it from Government of India's budget?

01:11He is going to charge 50 times the cost of the bridge from people of Karnataka.

01:16So it's not an insult for our Chief Minister.

01:20But BJP is insulting the brothers and sisters of Karnataka or Karnadigas brothers.

01:25We are meeting today also with the MLS ministers.

01:28Other side BJP is saying it's certain that the CM change tactics is still going on in Congress.
