This special report focuses on a stunning revelation in Karnataka, where Chief Minister Siddharamaiah's economic advisor, Basavaraj Rayareddy, has alleged a powerful nexus between the sand mafia and state officials, causing a revenue loss of over 400 crore rupees. The BJP has hit back, with one representative stating, 'The only agenda of the Congress party is to convert Karnataka into ATM.' Rayareddy's letter to the Chief Minister claims this illegal network, allegedly involving over 200 individuals and officials from the Department of Mines and Geology, is looting the state's natural resources. The report also touches upon the BJP's counter-allegations, including the ST Development Corporation scam, where funds meant for the tribal community were allegedly siphoned off, and claims that contractors are being pressured for commissions.
