00:04Cy Young Award winner I mean I feel like he's getting close to like wrapping this thing up

00:09which is nuts in July but Tariq Skubal will pitch tonight against the Mariners and generally

00:14what you see when he does are low totals and almost minus 200 across the board doesn't matter

00:19who he faces that's the case tonight although Luis Castillo is a pretty good pitcher for Seattle

00:23Seattle has good pitching minus 225 tonight with Skubal laying a run and a half with a

00:29home team is a little bit difficult sometimes again they don't get their full complement of

00:33nine innings if they're up do you make anything of tonight's game any opinion it is this I you know

00:39going into today I thought this was gonna be a super fun game just to break down but after what

00:45the Mariners went through last night I think this game is far more interesting when Skubal's on the

00:48mound we're never getting an easy number to bet right Rose me it's super heavy lines I think

00:53there's a realistic scenario where we see the Tigers win the first five but the Mariners come

00:58through in the full game now I'm not saying I love those odds because it's minus 290 for just

01:03the first five obviously we'd be getting the Skubal sample at least at that point and then bringing

01:07in the Tigers bullpen which had a little bit of struggles especially over the past week and again

01:11buying into at least some of the narrative of the Mariners collapse of last night maybe they

01:15struggle to score early no surprise against school but then they you know scratch across a few

01:19runs later in the game so it's a it's like a little bit of a skill shot to say oh they lose the

01:24first five at the end of winning the full game but I could see that happening and frankly if we

01:29see the Mariners come away with a loss tonight I'll frankly be backing them tomorrow at probably a

01:33pretty solid plus money place price as well the Mariners meanwhile it's sort of been odd for them

01:39with their pitching against Pittsburgh no run all fits four walks against the Yankees they got blown up

01:44here a little bit but you know overall I would say that you know even with some of the struggles

01:49of a couple of their pitchers and injuries this season that's been a story for them you feel like

01:54Seattle is the upper echelon of starting pitching moving forward I do you know I I always like to

02:00phrase things I'm like you know is this a bad game or a bad series or is this a sign of bad things to

02:04come I would say this was a bad series like I I'm fully confident in the Mariners pitching staff

02:09overall Wu Kirby Gilbert like that trio I think is absolutely awesome I think this was a bad series

02:15it just was I do not think this is a sign of bad things to come I think they'll be fine

02:19all right let's uh talk Tigers baseball here a little bit their win total keeps climbing and

02:24climbing I know they're going to fly above what they was before the season but it's up to 98 and

02:28a half now and they're the favorites the American League and among the favorites to win the World

02:33Series but you know this is a really tricky time to look at anything honestly I mean Tom we are just

02:39weeks away from finding out which teams take that next step I mean through the years the Dodgers have

02:44been just so aggressive by getting Machado and Trey Turner and you know Scherzer through the years

02:49and I and I kind of feel like they're going to do that again but why wouldn't the Tigers make that

02:53next step too I could see them making a monster move yeah I think this is the time for them to

02:57be aggressive I actually don't mind that win total over 98 and a half you know a part of me you know

03:02I'm looking at the Guardians if they continue to struggle is there a need for them to push to get

03:07Shane Bieber back in the rotation right so if they don't bring him back they don't force him you know

03:11get him back early does that add up an extra few losses here or there just puts the Tigers in that

03:15much better of a spot to pick up a few more wins so when it comes to the Tigers World Series price

03:20and or you want them to win the ALCS I actually like looking at direct outcomes so if you think

03:25you know the Blue Jays continue this hot start it could be Tigers to beat the Blue Jays Tigers to

03:30beat the Yankees whatever it might be or Tigers to beat the Dodgers in the World Series you're getting

03:34a better price yeah we do need that direct outcome to happen but I don't want to be going to such a

03:38short price I'd rather take a little bit of a longer shot and find my way to potentially hedge out
