Dragons NRLW round-up with Grace Hamilton

00:00Hi guys, it's Grace Hamilton here from the Illawar Mercury sports team.

00:04I am here to give a little bit of a round-up of what's happening in the NRLW world this weekend.

00:10Our Dragons are heading to Jubilee with the men for a doubleheader against the Sydney Roosters.

00:16It's a very big game for both teams.

00:18The women have not defeated Roosters since March 2021, so there's a lot on the line.

00:24That game was 16-10 and there are only two players remaining from the squad.

00:29Teagan Berry was fullback at the time, now plays on the wing.

00:32And also Keely Brown, who was reserves at the time.

00:36The girls are coming off a great win down in Canberra against the Raiders.

00:40The challenge is, though, that the Sydney Roosters are reigning NRLW Premiers.

00:44Head coach Nathan Cross believes that's actually a positive thing,

00:47given that no one has their stuff sorted by round two.

00:49So they are hopeful to take their winnings from round one into this weekend.
