00:00And a short period of delay before the five red lights illuminate and as they go out the Circuit of Americas is christened and the Formula 1 Grand Prix of the United States is go and it's wheel to wheel between Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber into Turn 1 but it's Red Bull 1 and 2, McLaren 3, 4th place for Fernando Alonso who gets his nose up alongside there.
00:26I think that's Nico Hülkenberg meanwhile wheel to wheel between the Lotus and a couple of cars off wide.
00:31Yeah cars going off immediately through that one line sequence of corners from first all the way first corner all the way down to 11 still they go off.
00:40There's a lot of moving back that's Massa going through but advantage to the Red Bulls at the beginning and certainly it wasn't as big a disadvantage as some had feared off the inside.
00:51Hamilton does get away pretty good but Webber on the racing line can break later.
00:58Look how much later Webber breaks all the way around the outside and that gives him track position in front of Hamilton.

01:07Well interestingly there Fernando Alonso the big gainer on that run because Alonso up into that 4th place there and ahead of Michael Schumacher doing a brilliant job.
01:22Yeah well if he does get past him we're just seeing a replay of it there this time.
01:26Actually what happened with Romain Grosjean just quite simply lost the brake.
01:29I think he put his right wheel wheel on the kerb turning in because he lost it as soon as he turned in there didn't he.
01:36So he was lucky not to get to the gravel.
01:39And as we're watching the replay of that I'm pretty sure that Jenson Button is doing exactly the same to Michael this time around.
01:44Yeah I think he probably is.
01:46As we saw Team Maldonado there back on board with Button.
01:50He's lining up Schumacher here still.
01:53Is this a replay? Let's see if he's going to have a go up the inside or is Schumacher can defend? Yes.
01:59Button still goes up the inside into the pit lane!
02:02Well Michael Schumacher never gives a place away easily but that particular one Jenson Button worked very hard for it.
02:10Now the big question is did Jenson Button keep it? That is the most important thing.
02:15And interestingly Romain Grosjean has just dived into the pit lane for the first tyre stop and I suspect that could be a slow puncher for Romain Grosjean.
02:24Here's Jenson Button, Michael Schumacher really aggressively trying to close him down.

02:32He reached it on the edge of the gravel trap. Here is what we were seeing.
02:35Michael Schumacher has just rejoined after a tyre change there.
02:41And Jean-Erik Verne tried to make a move on him.
02:44And Schumacher, well he sort of lost a bit of momentum.
02:47Was the contact there with Rosberg?
02:49Well it's Schumacher and Rosberg locked together in 14th and 15th places.
02:54And Jean-Erik Verne I think actually had a mechanical problem there.
02:57Because I didn't see any, oh suspension failure.
