00:00Now it's the sit down with Milo Mannheim and Meg Donnelly.
00:03Hi, YouTube!
00:04There's always gonna be fan division
00:06when it comes to a beloved series
00:08compared to the rest of the zombie movies.
00:10Give me one word to describe Zombies 4.
00:13Elevated.
00:15Definitely elevated.
00:21You both executive produced this installment.
00:23How did that change your outlook behind the scenes?
00:26I mean, I definitely felt like we had a lot more input
00:28in basically every aspect of making this movie.
00:32I will say that there wasn't, for me, too many struggles.
00:35I feel like the things that we really hoped for
00:38ended up happening, which is really great.
00:40The other producers were such a great team
00:43and they know that this is kind of like our first go at this,
00:46so they were super helpful.
00:47But I think, truthfully, we really understand this franchise.
00:52We know what's important to be heard
00:54and what the people want to see.
00:55So I think that we acted as a really good bridge
00:58between the creative team and the production side of things.
01:02Yeah, it was really cool just being a part of the wardrobe
01:05and the script and just everything.
01:09Also, advocating for the kids
01:11when they wanted to speak up about something.
01:14I think the hardest thing for me, though,
01:15was the casting, probably.
01:17Because being on the other side is like, it's really hard.
01:22Because everyone who auditioned was so, so good.
01:26It was good as like an actor to realize that,
01:29oh, everyone is so talented and so deserving.
01:32It's just a matter of like whose essence works the best
01:35in this case scenario.
01:36But everyone was so deserving.
01:37But that was really hard, a lot harder than I thought,
01:40because everyone was so good.
01:41There is speculation that Zombies 4 is the final movie
01:45for the OG crew.
01:46If it was, what sort of mementos would you be stealing from set?
01:50That's a great question.
01:51Um, OK, first of all, with this type of movie,
01:55it is tricky to do so because they love to, you know,
01:59keep those things as memorabilia.
02:01I would probably take her wig and cosplay stand all the time.
02:08I mean, like, how many wigs do you have?
02:10There's so many wigs.
02:12I can see every single wig, all the wigs that she has.
02:15Meg, since the first Zombies movie,
02:17what has changed the most about Milo?
02:19Milo, same question about Meg.
02:21I think that Meg has grown a lot more confident
02:24throughout these years.
02:25I mean, I think we really grew like this,
02:28so it's kind of like hard to see those things, you know?
02:31We were really trying to fit in, you know, the first movie.
02:34And then I think to this point,
02:36both of us are really like kind of setting the vibe
02:39and we've taken that responsibility
02:41and I think we set a pretty good vibe on set.
02:44Yeah, no, we've grown so much.
02:46It's, I mean, yeah, we met when we were like 16.
02:49Hey, and now we're like, it's been almost 10 years.
02:54So that's like all the crazy milestones
02:57of like a young person's life.
02:58It's like everything.
02:59Through late teens, early 20s.
03:01Yeah, it's wild.
03:02I know.
03:03So a lot has changed, but a lot hasn't changed either.
03:06I know.
03:07It's cool.
03:08Milo, you recently finished your run
03:10on The Little Shop of Horrors in New York City
03:12with friend of the show, Liz Gillies.
03:14And I saw this picture.
03:15Who made you more starstruck, Ariana Grande or Ethan Slater?
03:19Okay, I'm so happy you asked this question
03:21because the answer was Ethan.
03:23When they walked in, it was kind of funny.
03:27I was like, hi, Ariana, nice to meet you.
03:29Ethan, my brother, what's up?
03:31Because I saw him as SpongeBob.
03:33Like, I love that guy.
03:34And also, I think that, I don't know, Liz has talked to me
03:38about Ari for so long that it was just like,
03:40I felt like I was meeting one of Liz's old friends
03:42and Ethan Slater, you know what I mean?
03:45Meg, your EP Dying Art is out now.
03:48Congrats.
03:48What is the perfect setting to throw on your new music
03:51this summer?
03:52I feel like the first half of the EP is definitely out vibing.
03:56And then the second half in your car crying.
03:58So that's what I would say.
03:59First half in the club.
04:01Yeah, first half in the club.
04:02We thought I am crazy in the club.
04:03We thought I hate.
04:05And then second half crying in the club.
04:07Yeah.
04:08Milo, what are my coworkers at People wants to know
04:10if you'd ever go back to Dancing with the Stars
04:12all-star season?
04:13Yeah, why not?
04:14That sounds like a cool thing.
04:16If that's something they're thinking about, sure.
04:18I mean, we'll have to see,
04:19because I don't know if I can compete against Zendaya.
04:22OK, to wrap up, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock.
04:25Tell everyone why they should check out
04:27Zombies 4, Dawn of the Vampires.
04:29Ready? Go.
04:30It's very elevated.
04:31There's so much music, and it's like incredible.
04:35And the new cast is so amazing.
04:37And it's in New Zealand, which is so beautiful.
04:39And yeah, it's awesome.
04:40It's sick.
04:41You just trust us.
04:42All right, it's Meg and Milo here.
04:43Just watch the movie.
04:44It's fantastic.
04:45Milo and Meg, thank you so much for dropping
04:48by today.
04:49It was so nice talking with you.
