00:00The best way to love the cow is to stop drinking her milk.
00:04And what is it that is keeping beef affordable?
00:07It is milk consumption because it's in circulation.
00:09You have an asset.
00:10If the only thing that you can have from it is its flesh,
00:13then you will be required to firstly raise it to its maximum weight
00:17and then you get only one thing from it.
00:19What?
00:19Its flesh.
00:19Whereas if that animal becomes perpetually productive for you
00:24over a range of five to seven years
00:26and then as the final end product, it gives you its flesh as well.
00:31There's a far more lucrative proposition.
00:33So take away milk from the equation
00:35and even beef consumption would drastically fall
00:38for purely economic reasons.
00:39The economics would not remain sustainable anymore.
00:41The prices of beef would greatly escalate.
00:45So it's the milk consumer that has to realize
00:48that he is the driving factor behind cow slaughter.
00:52On the contrary, the milk consumer loves to take a morally high position
00:58and wants to command terms to others.
