00:00Can two people who practice in a school meditation, who subscribe to different ideas of meditation, can they grow together?

00:11The more they can grow together only by dropping their respective ideas.

00:16Because what is it that limits or arrests their growth?

00:20Their ideas about meditation.

00:22You see, love is not an idea.

00:24If meditation is that intense and intimate love, how can it be an idea?

00:28Is love an idea?

00:30So to grow together, we will have to drop all our ideas, including our ideas about love and meditation.

00:40All our ideas.

00:41It's our ideas that separate us.

00:43You think you are somebody.

00:45I think I am somebody.

00:46And these two somebodies are mutually not reconciliable.

00:51And therefore there are differences and conflicts.

00:53And people are fighting and communities are fighting and countries are fighting.

00:58Because they have ideas.

01:00Any growth, whether it is growth along with somebody else's growth or it is totally internal and solitary growth.

01:08That growth includes you growing beyond your ideas.
