00:00One of the things in the Japanese manufacturing philosophy is JIT, just in time.
00:05Why do they do it?
00:06They say that inventory hides mistakes.
00:10We will not carry any inventory.
00:11Everything has to be just in time.
00:13The process has to be lean enough, smart enough and efficient enough.
00:17For example, a video is to be published every day.
00:19I will not keep any inventory of videos ready to be published because if that is there.
00:25And even if I miss producing videos on two days in the week, it still will not show up because
00:32I had buffer and I published from that buffer.
00:34So I will not keep any buffer, no inventory.
00:36You produce every day, you publish every day.
00:38This is just in time.
00:39Just in time philosophy affords no flaws.
00:43Keep no inventory.
00:44Let the challenge be huge.
00:45No backups, no buffers, no security cushions, none at all.
00:49Because if they exist, they will hide your flaws.
00:51So what do you do if you want to improve?
00:53You remove all cushions, all security, all inventory.
00:57You play bare chested.
00:59You go for broke.
00:59It's all or nothing.
