Malacañang dismisses claims by Vice President Sara Duterte that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is engaged in politicking, saying the Chief Executive is doing his job and not vacationing. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro issued the statement on July 9, 2025, a day after Duterte advised Marcos to 'look in the mirror' when he called on newly sworn-in national and local officials to 'stop politicking' and focus on serving their constituents. Castro also refused to comment further on former president Rodrigo Duterte's wish to be cremated in the Netherlands once he dies, saying it's a family matter.
