Multisectoral group calls for Marcos resignation and for Sara to take over  A multisectoral group called 'Save The Philippines Coalition,' has called for the resignation of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and is pushing for Vice President Sara Duterte to succeed him during a press conference in San Juan City on Nov. 28, 2025. The group's chairman, Datu Mus Lidasan, said that Marcos has to resign to allow Duterte to impose necessary reforms amid the continuing flood control scandal that has rocked his administration.  The group also denied claims that it was funded by China to topple the Marcos administration. 00:18The Save the Philippines Coalition is a voluntary movement of Filipinos

00:23desiring urgent change in the direction of the country

00:28and its leadership to affect this new path.

00:32It is an alliance of individuals directly and actively working to save the country

00:37from the morass of moral, political, economic crisis

00:42hounding the Philippines under the Bongbong Marcos Jr. administration.

00:49It seeks to achieve a collective demand for the resignation of the president

00:54and withdrawal of the mandate by the sovereign people.

00:58It supports the constitutional succession

01:01to elevate the vice president to chart a new path for the country

01:08under a new leadership.

01:11It recognizes the diversity of individuals involved in this movement.

01:16Thus, it promotes unity in purpose, participation, democratic discussion, building consensus,

01:26collective leadership, resource sharing, and flexibility in action.

01:42The Assembly listened and discussed the national situation and unanimously concluded

01:51that the country is in grave crisis morally, politically, economically due to massive bad governance,

02:02abuse of power, corruption, and depression by the current administration.

02:07There is an urgent need to chart a new path to save the Philippines.

02:14PBBM needs to go as culprit of this morass.

02:19Uphold in effect the constitutional succession with the vice president of the sole and only replacement.

02:28Assist the new leadership to institute urgent reforms to address the problems caused by the BBM's mismanagement

02:36and pursue a program of government to benefit the people and bring back the pride to the Filipino nation.

02:45About the organization.

02:48The Save the Philippines Coalition was initiated in response to the appeal of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte

02:55to save the republic.

02:56On November 23, 2025, it convened a General Assembly attended by not less than 515 individuals

03:06from all over the country and from all sectors united by its basis of unity.

03:1431 individuals were nominated to its national leading body to deliberate, decide, and implement

03:21the trust, plans, agreements, and decisions adopted by the General Assembly.

03:28Chosen were Attorney Vic Rodriguez and former Cabinet Secretary June Ibasco as co-chairman.

03:36It has a secretariat and operations group led by the Secretary General to assist the national leading body

03:43and executive committee in implementing its plans, programs, programs, and activities.

03:49The plans, programs, and activities are as follows.

03:53Number one, hold a people's verdict Marcos designed now.

03:59Withdraw the mandate rally on November 30 to intensify the continuing withdrawal

04:04of mandate and support by the sovereign people on the abusive and corrupt president.
