00:58When I think about being Canadian, I think of community, curiosity.

01:20And right now, eleven teams of two are making their way to the starting line.
01:26Evie and Blake, brothers from Toronto.

01:30I'm a model. That's my job.
01:33I've shot for some of the biggest brands in the world.
01:36I manage a bar in downtown Toronto.
01:38I love it.
01:40We naturally excel at so many things, whether it's sports, cultural knowledge and awareness.

01:50Think we have any weaknesses?

01:54I think we don't have any weaknesses, man.
01:56I think we're the GOATs.

02:07Not only are we cousins, we are best friends.
02:11We went to school together.
02:12We traveled the world together.
02:13She's literally my other half.
02:15A little cousin chaos.

02:19We're Christian, God-fearing women.

02:22We love Jesus, but we're here to win.

02:35Friends from Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, and Wrigley Northwest Territories.
02:41We met at an indigenous fashion show.
02:44They called our names.
02:45They were like, Rebecca.
02:46And we stood up at the same time, and then we looked at each other.
02:48And then, that was honestly, the rest is history.
02:51Yeah, the rest is history.
02:53I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 29 years old.
02:57I'm going into my almost fifth year of remission.
03:00I hope to inspire people that, you know, you can go through this.
03:03Like, it's gonna suck so much, but you can get to the other side, and you have that strength.
03:07You are resilient.
03:08I'm always inspired by her.

03:16Jesse and Jonathan, best friends from Vancouver.
03:19So, the first time I met Jesse, he was emceeing an event in drag.
03:25And I was like, who is this person?
03:28And then I saw him at our gym, and I was like, who is this person?
03:32And now, we're friends.
03:34And now still, who is this person?
03:36Who is this guy?
03:37We're doing dance classes before the race starts.
03:40We go over this every week.
03:41John is a super fan of the Amazing Race Canada.
03:45In high school, I organized amazing races for my friends around the city.
03:49Such a dork.
03:51Grace and Joe, siblings from Prince George, British Columbia.
03:55Growing up, we weren't very close.
03:58And I'm sure that's how lots of siblings are.
04:00But now, we're best friends.
04:02True.
04:06I've been acting professionally for 15 years.
04:09And I've worked with some incredible superstars.
04:13I think Grace enjoys the limelight.
04:15And I prefer to be more in the background, I suppose.
04:22Lacey and Celia, sisters from Charlottetown PEI.
04:27We are the first ever team from Prince Edward Island.
04:30We're both performers on stage.
04:33And PEI is famous for Anne of Green Gables.
04:36From being in musicals as little kids, we grew up doing everything Anne.
04:40Anne of Green Gables was our primary source of income for, like, our whole childhood.
04:44We made a lot of money off Anne.
04:47When I was 16 years old, I decided to open my own dance studio.
04:51Now, we're the biggest dance studio in PEI.
04:55Most recently, I was part of Team Canada, where we went to the Dance World Cup.
04:58And I won a silver medal for the country, which is really exciting.
05:01So, we're small but mighty, just like PEI.
05:04Aika and Dimitri, married couple from Toronto.
05:11We met and fell in love on Big Brother Canada.
05:14My first impression of Dimitri was...
05:18I thought you were a little annoyed.

06:57he's super outgoing super confident super handsy sorry yes he is
07:07louis what's it mean to be here with marie right now it's a dream come true i get to compete with
07:14not only my best friend my mama bear so uh life is good john my mom has raised me and my two siblings
07:22on her own so i'm a super proud mama's boy i'm the first grandma to be on amazing race canada so at 58
07:29years old i'm in the shape of my life and i'm so ready to kick ass she can be scared i did i did the bear
07:41osas esosa what is your mantra for this race well john as you can see we are the short kings of this
07:47competition i'm five five i'm five foot four we want to run this race to inspire every short king

08:54the first impression when we first met was it was like watching the edmonton oilers on the ice

12:53hunk of clay into a beautiful piece of art all while one of them is blindfolded oh dear
13:01but first tees will choose a 2025 chevrolet silverado 1500 lt trail boss to drive for this
13:08leg of the race do you want to do on the fence sure take the 99th street north hold on babe but

23:12the lucky team that wins the assist by desjardins will be helped with a larger margin of five seconds
