00:00Tom Barak said he was unbelievably satisfied with Lebanon's response to his road map.

00:06Were you surprised by how positive his mood music was?

00:13Well, to be honest, I didn't really focus on these very festive words, let's say,

00:20and I focused more on the things he said that didn't really, that was really crude and really straightforward.

00:26So he, as a seasoned diplomat, he decided to be a kind of more gentle in talking to the Lebanese

00:35as opposed to the former envoy, Morgan Ortega.

00:38While he was very clear that this is a positive step forward, at the same time,

00:44he did warn the Lebanese about something bigger than just disarming Hezbollah.

00:48He clearly said that there's a golden chance for Lebanon to enter the whole debate about peace.

00:57And this is exactly where the problem is.

00:58While the Lebanese political establishment are still trying to avoid talking about disarming of Hezbollah

01:03and transitioning into a peace process, Barak, as the envoy for Lebanon and Syria,

01:10has clearly took it upon himself to talk about the Abrahamic Accords.

01:13And this is where the positive words of Barak don't really actually materialize into anything.
