Bradford must continue progression remarks Manager Graham Alexander

00:00Bradford City manager Graeme Alexander has spoken for the first time since the end of last season

00:05and he has made abundantly clear that the club must use the excitement and energy gained

00:10via their promotion at the end of last season to help them progress as a club as they prepare for League One.

00:18Yeah, look, we obviously celebrated a lot and we deserved to and we needed to as a club,

00:26not just the team, but everybody, the staff, the fans, everybody connected with us.

00:31It was a fantastic achievement, first and foremost, and how we did it and just the scenes.

00:35It was just a fantastic experience, I think, for us all.

00:41But it's important that we understand how we have to progress to go forward

00:46and how we have to work again and work even harder,

00:51take the confidence from what we achieved last year,

00:56that a lot of the work we put in as a staff and as a club and the players especially

01:03was good enough to win games and win enough games to get promotion.

01:09So there's a lot of validation in there for how we go about things.

01:14And Bradford City's new signing Curtis Tilt has said that the squad are beginning to gel as a team.

01:20He was speaking after the club's first pre-season match in a friendly against FC United of Manchester.

01:27I'm tired, with a quick, good 45 minutes.

01:31I thought, what we've been working on the last few weeks in the defensive shot,

01:35I thought there were some good bits there and some bits that we can improve on,

01:38but all in all, it was a good run out.

01:40How's his first couple of weeks? Have you found it being a Bradford City player?

01:42I've enjoyed it.

01:43The lads have welcomed us, especially the players that have just came in really well.

01:48You can see we're starting to gel as a team more and more.

01:52And yeah, we're just all working hard to strive to wherever we want to be.

01:55And making your debut for the club as well, how do you feel after that one?

01:58Yeah, I'm excited to see what the season brings to us.

02:02It's incredible to see how many fans come down today for a pre-season game.

02:05And hopefully we can all stick together and then, you know, the seasons are up and down.

02:10We'll have some good times, we'll have some rocky times, but all in all, it's football and we enjoy it.
