00:00Another injury for the Braves last night.

00:02Spencer Schwellenbach fractured elbow.

00:04I mean, this is probably going to be almost season-ending, if not that.

00:09Another season of injuries.

00:10Smith-Shauver goes down.

00:12Schwellenbach goes down.

00:14I know Alex Anthopoulos wants to still be in this thing and wants to be buyers.

00:19And I got to tell you, on the one hand, Matt, I agree with him.

00:22Because next year, this team should be back and loaded.

00:25But it just doesn't feel like this is their year.

00:28It doesn't.

00:29It really doesn't.

00:29And I think you and I have both been optimistic.

00:31We've talked before about, hey, man, watch out for the Braves.

00:34Still a lot of season.

00:35That's still such a talented and kind of loaded lineup.

00:38And when you look at the batting order, it looks good.

00:42It still looks good on paper.

00:43We saw it last night.

00:44But, man, these injuries to the rotation, it just feels like it's become too much to overcome.

00:49And with the whole they dug themselves at the beginning of the year, I just have a hard time seeing it.

00:54Is it realistic that they can make a run?

00:57Of course.

00:57But there's just so many teams in front of them, too.

01:00Never mind the teams that right now are in those playoff spots.

01:03But the teams in front of them still fighting to try to get into that final wild card.

01:07It's a lot.

01:08It's a lot for them to deal with.

01:10And these injuries, you just have to assume they're going to take their toll.

01:13So I have a hard time seeing them really making a legit run at the postseason.

01:18But to your point, does that mean they're sellers?

01:21That seems a little short-sighted as well.

01:23I mean, maybe trade a couple guys here or there.

01:26But you obviously don't want to give up something big like you're in a full rebuild because I don't think they're quite there either.

01:32So they're kind of in a no-man's land.

01:33And when you're in that situation, I think you might as well play it out here through the rest of this month.

01:39See where you are closer to the end of the month.

01:41And then, you know, you make a decision.

01:43But, yeah, it just feels like just a snake-bitten curse season for the Braves once again.
