00:00Meanwhile, the National Electrification Administration, or NEA, is intensifying efforts to bring electricity to remote areas through three key programs.
00:08CTO electrification, barangay line enhancement, and solar photovoltaic mainstreaming.
00:12Backed by over 3.6 billion pesos approved by the Department of Budget and Management, or BBM, for 2025,
00:19these initiatives target 1,752 CTOs, five barangays, and off-grid communities across the country.
00:25The solar kits, capable of powering basic household devices, are expected to reach up to 60,000 homes this year.
00:32According to DBM, the project will not only bring light, but also boost livelihoods and internet connectivity in far-flung communities.
