At a roundtable at the Alligator Alcatraz in Florida, President Trump praised Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

00:13Yes, here at Algarve Trust.

00:14I'm going to spend a lot.

00:15Look, this is my home state.

00:17I love it.

00:18I love your government.

00:19I love all the people around.

00:20These are all friends of mine.

00:21They know them very well.

00:23I mean, I'm not surprised that they do so well.

00:24They're great people.

00:27Ron has been a friend of mine for a long time.

00:29I feel very comfortable in the state.

00:30I'll spend a lot of time here.

00:33I want to, you know, for four years, I've got to be in Washington, and I'm okay with it because I love the White House.

00:38I even fix up the little Oval Office.

00:41I make it.

00:42It's like a diamond.

00:43It's beautiful.

00:43It's so beautiful.

00:44It wasn't maintained properly, I will tell you that.

00:46But even when it wasn't, it was still the Oval Office, so it meant a lot.

00:50But I'll spend as much time as I can here.

00:53You know, my vacation is generally here because it's convenient.

00:56I live in Palm Beach.

00:57It's my home.

00:57And I have a very nice little place, nice little cottage to stay at, right?

01:03But we have a lot of fun.

01:05And I'm a big contributor to Florida.

01:07You know, I pay a lot of tax.

01:08And a lot of people move from New York.

01:10And I don't know what New York is going to do.

01:12A lot of people moved to Florida from New York.

01:15And it was for a lot of reasons.

01:16But one of them was taxes.

01:17The taxes are so high in New York they're leaving.

01:19I don't know what New York is going to do about that because some of the biggest, wealthiest

01:23people and some of the people that pay the most taxes of any people anywhere in the world,

01:28for that matter, they're moving to Florida and other places.

01:31So we're going to have to help some of these states out, I think.

01:34But thank you very much.

01:35I'll be here as much as I can.

01:37Very nice question.

01:38And with that, I'd like to just end by saying I want to thank Ron and James and all of the

01:43people that have done such a great job, all of your staff, really fantastic work.

01:49And it really started with site selection.

01:51You can do a great job, but if you have the wrong site in real estate, you have the wrong

01:55site, you're dead.

01:57And this was a great site selection, despite what you may read in the environmental press.
