The butchers from Essington Farm are celebrating after being named best in the Midlands.

00:00Okay then Tom, so we're here at the Essington Farm and just explain what today is all about,

00:06what you've got there in your hands.

00:08So we've won large butchery for Midlands, so yeah, pretty proud really.

00:18So what was the event, who judges it?

00:21So it's from the National Craft Butchery and they judge butcher shops around the country

00:26in the different categories and then they judge the best butcher shop at the categories.

00:32Fantastic, and so what did you do to it? Did they come here to try the meat?

00:38Yeah, so we serve a mystery shopper, it's over a certain window of a date, we don't know when that is

00:46and they judge the customer service and the quality of the meat and the food

00:51and the whole package really is a farm shop and a butcher's counter, they judge everything.

00:56And as you say, it's out of the whole of the Midlands isn't it, is that right?

00:58Yes, definitely.

00:59That's a great achievement. So how does it feel?

01:02Oh, it's overwhelming really, this is the second time we've won such an award.

01:07Yeah.

01:07It's just the whole dedication, the whole team, we're all proud of each other,

01:11it's a lot of hard work that's gone into it.
