00:00Did you know that Virginia is a foodie state? We arrived in Northern Neck on the East Coast.
00:04This area is an oyster haven. We sat overlooking the Rappahannock River where the oysters we ate
00:09are grown. Here at Marroir, they harvest and shuck oysters daily. We love these super fresh
00:14morsels. Our next stop was the beautiful and historic Tides Inn, where you can also find
00:18great oysters at their restaurant Fish Hawk. We love the gardens and outstanding views,
00:23especially dining by epic sunset at Salt and Meadow. We went with this excellent grilled duck,
00:27Chesapeake Bay crab, and cauliflower with saffron. Heading back west, we found Gordonsville,
00:33a tiny town known as the fried chicken capital of the world, or the universe, depending on who you
00:38ask. There's a long tradition of fried chicken here. You'll find history on the walls and experience
00:42it yourself when you try this centuries-old recipe. Don't forget the biscuits. The biscuits.
00:48The biscuits. Virginia is definitely for food lovers.
