00:00Things Southerners will always grab from the grocery store before they go on a beach trip.
00:04First things first, sandwich fixings. Sub sandwiches and beach trips go hand in hand.
00:08A pack of sub rolls for the first few days since they get hard so quickly and
00:12all the deli meats and cheeses you could ever want. Later in the week you can move on to Hawaiian
00:17rolls or white bread sandwiches because the sub bread will either be too hard or everyone will
00:21have eaten it all. Obviously also fried chicken. Why is cold fried chicken on the beach elite? I
00:26don't know but it is. Next up, plenty of crackers for all the dips you'll be purchasing at the beach.
00:31Smoked fish dip, shrimp dip, pimento cheese. A various assortment of chips are absolutely necessary
00:36even if the seagulls will try to steal them away from you. Cheese balls are a must at least in my
00:40family at the beach where you're allowed to eat junk. Good beach beer, definitely. I love Oyster
00:46City especially. More sandwich fixings for PB&Js and BLTs when you're out of deli meat but I think
00:51I covered all the bases. Just be sure to save room in your cooler to stock up at the fish market when
00:55you get there.
