“Mayor was doing deliberately…” BJP’s Jagannath Pradhan condemns assault on BMC official

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), July 1, 2025 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jagannath Pradhan on July 1 condemn the assault on Ratnakar Sahoo, the Additional Commissioner of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). He also said that mayor was doing so deliberately. “I condemn the incident. Whatever happened was very sad. Why was there so much ruckus? At the time of the incident, the woman mayor of BMC was also standing there. The incident could have been stopped from happening. However, it appears that the mayor wanted the incident to happen. I think the mayor was doing so deliberately. She could have taken steps, but did not. There is video footage of the entire incident. Why did such an incident happen when there is security also present in the BMC office?...,” said Jagannath Pradhan.
