00:20Sir Jaker, paano ka napasok sa insurance business industry?
00:25My family has been in the insurance business na ito yung first business namin as a family
00:29was actually a non-life insurance business.
00:32So when we acquired yung HMO, and yun na, yun na ako nagpapatakbo doon.
00:38So prior to doing this, nasa business industry na po ba kayo? Or this is the first?
00:43I was in a business industry, I started in schools actually.
00:48Si Diane naman, what he does is he treats us more like a professional
00:52and let us handle the company as well as be responsible for the whole company.
01:00Pero he gives us the free hand in doing what he wants.
01:05And doing what we want.
01:07However, we know that he is supporting us every step of the way.
01:10So how important it is, most especially the Filipino people out there,
01:14to get insurance, not just for them but for their families as well?
01:17The funny thing about insurance is you'll never know its importance until you use them, di ba?
01:24So important siya just to be prepared for your peace of mind
01:27because di mo alam kung kailangan ka magkakasakit.
01:30And when that time comes, at least with the insurance,
01:33it can, even if it can't cover everything,
01:36at least it can help cover a portion of your financial needs.
01:41So any struggles or challenges while building this business?
01:45Well, the business itself was quite challenging, no?
01:49Because like any business, iba-iba yung mga ano niya eh.
01:53Of course, you have to learn the industry.
01:55There's a lot of components sa insurance industry.
01:58It's about getting premiums, computing for premiums, managing risk, of course.
02:04Ano bang mga ginawa nating strategies to be able to address those challenges?
02:08The market kasi we have is very challenging in the sense that we have competitors, no?
02:14Mga competitors.
02:15So what we had to do was to find a different market,
02:20to tap a different market for that.
02:22So gumawa tayo ng mga prepaid cards,
02:25healthcare prepaid cards, to target a different market.
02:29So we had to be innovative in our services, in our products,
02:33so that we can't compete head-on with the other competitors.
02:39Grabe yung tagal na nasa business industry kayo.
02:42Any lessons that you have learned that you like to share with our viewers sa mga ating mga kanegosyo?
02:49It's always taking care of the client, no?
02:53At the end of the day, it's giving the quality service and taking care of the client as much as we can.
02:59Because you need them and at the same time, we need to take care of them
03:03in order to give them the quality service that they're paying for.

03:10pero kapag nakapagsimula ka na,
