00:00Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
00:06And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made,
00:10and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.
00:16And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it,
00:19because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.
00:24These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created,
00:30in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,
00:36and every plant of the field before it was in the earth,
00:39and every herb of the field before it grew.
00:43For the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth,
00:46and there was not a man to till the ground.
00:50But there went up a mist from the earth,
00:52and watered the whole face of the ground.
00:57And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground,
01:00and breathed into His nostrils the breath of life,
01:03and man became a living soul.
01:08And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden,
01:12and there He put the man whom He had formed.
01:16And out of the ground made the Lord God
01:19to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
01:21and good for food.
01:24The tree of life also in the midst of the garden,
01:27and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
01:31And a river went out of Eden to water the garden,
01:34and from thence it was parted,
01:36and became into four heads.
01:38The name of the first is Pison.
01:43That is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah,
01:46where there is gold.
01:49And the gold of that land is good.
01:52There is Delium and the onyx stone.
01:54And the name of the second river is Gihon.
01:59The same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
02:05And the name of the third river is Hidikkel.
02:09That is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria.
02:12And the fourth river is Euphrates.
02:14And the Lord God took the man
02:18and put him into the garden of Eden
02:20to dress it and to keep it.
02:24And the Lord God commanded the man, saying,
02:27Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat.
02:32But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
02:35thou shalt not eat of it,
02:37for in the day that thou eatest thereof
02:39thou shalt surely die.
02:41And the Lord God said,
02:45It is not good that the man should be alone.
02:48I will make him and help meet for him.
02:52And out of the ground
02:53the Lord God formed every beast of the field
02:57and every fowl of the air
02:58and brought them unto Adam
03:00to see what he would call them.
03:02And whatsoever Adam called every living creature,
03:05that was the name thereof.
03:07And Adam gave names to all cattle
03:11and to the fowl of the air
03:12and to every beast of the field.
03:15But for Adam there was not found
03:17and help meet for him.
03:20And the Lord God caused a deep sleep
03:23to fall upon Adam,
03:24and he slept.
03:25And he took one of his ribs
03:27and closed up the flesh instead thereof.
03:29And the rib which the Lord God
03:34had taken from man
03:35made he a woman
03:36and brought her unto the man.
03:40And Adam said,
03:41This is now bone of my bones
03:43and flesh of my flesh.
03:46She shall be called woman
03:47because she was taken out of man.
03:52Therefore shall a man leave his father
03:54and his mother
03:54and shall cleave unto his wife
03:56and they shall be one flesh.
04:01And they were both naked,
04:03the man and his wife,
04:05and were not ashamed.
