00:00On a warm summer evening at Stats Chaliti in Paris, three-time Olympic champion Faith Kipiagun gave her all in an audacious attempt to become the first woman to break the four-minute mile barrier.
00:17Though she narrowly missed the mic, Kipiagun walked away proud of her effort and more determined than ever.
00:25To say I gave it all, how I started and how I finished it was like one piece because it was, you know, if you give everything, like if you give it all, you will not feel like you needed to, you know, push more because, you know, if you give everything, it's everything.
00:46So for me, I gave it all and I think next time I will still keep it, you know, give it all again to see, you know, to see where I will make it.
01:00But I hope one day, one time, it will be there.
01:04Kipiagun's time was faster than her existing world record of four minutes, seven seconds set in Monaco nearly two years ago.
01:12It was not all about, you know, running a tactical race or going for the world record, but it was a special race whereby you just have to give everything.
01:22So I gave everything and I think the wave flights also gave everything.
01:26So the wave flights, so yeah, the wave flights gave everything and I think it was wave flight time today and I think next time I will catch up with the life.
