00:00Thank you, first of all, welcome to IONOS.
00:02Thank you, sir.
00:03And, I'm the first of all,
00:05how do you get more knowledge about this album?
00:09Yes.
00:10So, this song actually is very special,
00:12because this is my own money song,
00:14which has so much emotion and vulnerability.
00:17And I think this is an extra special song,
00:20because after watching the video,
00:22I think you will understand that this is actually my first song,
00:26which is my mom and dad in the video.
00:28And that's why I think this is a video,
00:30which I will watch throughout my life.
00:33And that's why I think this is a very special video for me.
00:36The album's name is Jan.
00:38It's very emotional.
00:39Yes.
00:40It's a personal story.
00:41Yes.
00:42So, this song actually has been written by the legendary
00:45Rashmi Virag sir and ma'am.
00:47And, you know, I think,
00:49their poetry is very special.
00:53I think they are connected in their real life.
00:57And, I think,
00:58because of that, I think,
00:59you know,
01:00a little bit of a personal touch.
01:02But,
01:03music,
01:04I love it.
01:05I love it.
01:06I love it.
01:07I love it.
01:08I love it.
01:09What's your favorite song in this album?
01:12Actually,
01:13it's one song.
01:14It's one song.
01:15It's one song.
01:16I love it.
01:17But, if it's an album,
01:18it's my favorite song.
01:20Because,
01:21I think,
01:22I love it.
01:23I love it.
01:24It's my favorite song.
01:25Because,
01:26I think,
01:27after every song,
01:28I want to improve.
01:29You know,
01:30the expression.
01:31And, you know,
01:32just expression.
01:33And, I think,
01:34this song is my best.
01:35I love it.
01:36In your music style,
01:37what difference is your music style?
01:39Yes.
01:40So,
01:41I think,
01:42Dad's voice is very effortless.
01:44It's very buttery.
01:46It's very smooth.
01:47I think,
01:48my voice is very rugged.
01:49I think,
01:50my habit is to add more chest voice.
01:55And, I think,
01:56it's very natural.
01:58I think,
01:59I have a little bit of a voice.
02:00But,
02:01I have a little bit of a voice.
02:02Chest voice.
02:03But,
02:04I think,
02:05I have a little bit of a voice.
02:07So,
02:08it's a little bit of a signature.
02:10But,
02:11Dad's voice,
02:12I think,
02:13is a lot more.
02:14You know,
02:15smooth,
02:16velvety,
02:17and easier on the ear.
02:18My voice is a little bit heavy.
02:21Which,
02:22I think,
02:23not necessarily a worse thing or bad thing.
02:25But,
02:26in terms of skill,
02:27obviously,
02:28I mean,
02:29Dad is,
02:30Dad is.
02:31And,
02:32I am also a student.
02:33Sir,
02:34I have an album,
02:35but,
02:36do you have any advice for your album?
02:38Yes,
02:39absolutely.
02:40I think,
02:41Dad's advice is very good.
02:43Because,
02:44I think,
02:45it would be,
02:46very,
02:47not smart of me,
02:49to not,
02:50you know,
02:51show him the music.
02:52Especially,
02:53with all his experience.
02:54And,
02:55especially,
02:56I think,
02:57slightly old school,
02:58in terms of,
02:59you know,
03:00expression.
03:01And,
03:02I think,
03:03you know,
03:04it's something that he's done about 200 times,
03:05300 times.
03:06So,
03:07that's something he helped me a lot with.
03:08and,
03:09actually,
03:10I played to Dad.
03:11You know,
03:12I played to Dad.
03:13You know,
03:14I played to Dad.
03:15You know,
03:16he is,
03:17such a,
03:18you know,
03:19legend of the industry.
03:20And,
03:21he's so good himself.
03:22Obviously,
03:23I mean,
03:24who doesn't want to play the song to him?
03:27So,
03:28I am very,
03:29very blessed,
03:30that,
03:31this opportunity is so close.
03:32And,
03:33I think,
03:34acting,
03:35acting,
03:36I think,
03:37acting,
03:38I think,
03:39acting
03:40is a competition.
03:41okay?
03:42Yes,
03:43you know,
03:44for me,
03:46OH YEAH,
03:47sure.
03:48ILYA,
03:49how I am doing this!
03:50I mean,
03:51acting?
03:52Yes!
03:53Lovely.
03:55Today my focus on music,
03:56but...
03:57I,
03:58there has been this phrase.
03:59This phrase is just never say never.
04:01My project is,
04:02I think acting a very special thing,
04:04but,
04:05I think I need to be prepared for acting and I don't think I would want to do it you know
04:13I have to learn properly what it means to be an actor you know proper acting I want to learn it
04:23properly I want to learn it properly I have to give the music and the time I have to give the acting
04:26in the future but now my focus is only on the music because I think first of all my singing
04:33your guitar and live performance full tight then I think you know I will try my hand in acting
04:39but you know everything is on the basis of opportunities so a great opportunity comes my way
04:47I will drop a lot of things so that my acting will get hurt
04:53I think maybe I think composition may kaafi new
05:04I don't know much about composition but now I'm trying to do that in my other songs
05:09I think composition is something that I want to be able to be a singer songwriter
05:18and lyrics I think they come from my heart so you know something happens
05:25that you know I have to write a song about it then the lyrics naturally come
05:29but then I think I need the help of a lot of talented lyricists and for this song especially
05:35you know composition obviously it's been composed by Zain and Sam who are such brilliant composers
05:40and it's been written by you know the legendary Rashmi Virag so you know those two basses
05:47are covered with a lot of senior people and I'm just trying to give my best in the vocals
05:53So why did you choose this song you know
06:06why did you choose this song you know
06:08in my 90s feel like I'm watching the album
06:12so why did you choose this song you know
06:16sir kia tha ki actually you know um
06:19mere bhi discography mein mujhe bhi variety chahiye tha
06:23I think mere aise gaane hai you know very upbeat very uppaced you know
06:26um lekin mujhe bhi ek aisa gaana chahiye tha
06:30kyunki you know mujhe bhi apne versatality you know I want to be able to show
06:34and um saath mein I think aise gaane mujhe
06:38mutlab bhot piyara bhi lagta hai that's where it's a connection for me also there's a song ke
06:42you know if agar mein kisi aurke awaz mein bhi sun leeta
06:46you know I would definitely add it in you know save it to my playlist
06:49uh that's why I think you know yeh very special gaane hai
06:53or mein bas blessed hun ke you know yeh gaana
06:55I got to sing
07:03I think jabhi bhi um you know jaan se zyada actually
07:05bhot sa special phrase hai jabhi bhi kui bolte ki you know
07:09yeh gaana mujhe jaan se zyada
07:11achh ha lagha then that's the sweetest compliment
07:14but uh real ma hapa gambli asha milha jo ah oh
07:17haa ji i think um you know mere ek a bhot karib dost hai
07:21he had message me saying you know you know
07:23the all the songs, everything i've heard me this has been my favorite
07:26because yeh sab se genuine sab se real daga
07:29and I think that was my favorite-favorite compliment
07:33ja i think uh dad also you know he really enjoyed this
07:37composition he said you know bhot piara composition and lyrics to obviously
07:40you know, it's very good and you know, for him, I think when he heard, obviously,
07:46he heard a lot of mixes before the final mix and he loved the final one and he said,
07:51you know, this will be your final one, it's sounding the nicest.
07:55What do you mean for success? What do you mean for people's connection?
07:59No, it's for people's connection, of course. I think, I think,
08:03I think that's the main thing. I think that's the main thing.
08:15As it gets connected, the views are coming, but it's still a connection.
08:22Your songs are different from the song,
08:27and this song is different from the style of Shaan Sir.
08:30So, you mean, did you get to know about Shaan Sir's shadow?
08:37I think that he didn't get to know about it. I think, obviously,
08:40that's the identity of Shaan Sir's son, but, you know,
08:49obviously, I want to be able to get out of it. I want to be able to have my own sort of,
08:54you know, I want to make my own name. And I think that naturally,
08:58that's why people, you know, tend to draw similarities and all that.
09:03But it wasn't that, you know, I properly, you know,
09:06I wanted to get this song because I want to get out of a shadow or something like that.
09:09It was very beautiful and I think naturally, you know, I added my own style to it.
09:14That's why I think it was a little different.
09:15But I'm sure my dad also sang it. It would sound incredibly gorgeous.
09:19And, you know, the signature Shaan style that we're used to.
09:22I think motivation. Dad doesn't put a lot of pressure on me himself. I think
09:36that's a little bit of pressure. But I think that's a little bit of pressure that helps you.
09:52You know, you know, it will warm up for 15 minutes.
09:55You know, it will warm up for 10 minutes. All of this comes through with that pressure.
09:59And I think that's a good thing. So grateful for it.
10:03I think
10:16I mean, I think I think I think a good music may, you know, everyone can upload and everyone can put out their music.
10:33I think that's one beauty of today. You know, I think one great thing.
10:43When I watch Instagram Reels, you know, you know, you get to see so many great singers.
10:50So many people who are singing so incredible. And, you know, for me also, it's as a junior singer,
10:55it's very motivating to, you know, to see all of these incredible singers,
10:58as we watch shows, there's so many talent in this country.
11:04So, I think, you know, music is something that gives everyone an opportunity because
11:11to sing, you just need vocal cords. And today,
11:14I just want to put on-line on-line only one phone.
11:18You have two things that are very famous.
11:21Oh, yes.
11:22You have been talking about Roshavullah and Roshavullah's singles.
11:25Who are your favourite singers?
11:27And can you talk about Rabindra Sangeet?
11:31Yes, absolutely. I think I've heard a lot of Rabindra Sangeet, you know, growing up, especially,
11:37you know, with Dad. And obviously, I mean, singers from Calcutta, especially Bengali singers,
11:43there are a lot of them, you know, Shreya Ji, of course, you know, Arijit Ji, you know,
11:49so many. Obviously, I mean, I'd love to also highlight my grandmother, grandfather,
11:55you know, my grandmother, Sonani Mukherjee Ji, you know, she was a chorus singer. She used to do,
12:02she has sang chorus with Kishore Ji and Rafi Sahib. And my grandfather, Shreemanas Mukherjee Ji,
12:09was a music composer himself as well. So, he used to compose a lot in Calcutta. And
12:14also, he came to Mumbai and he's composed for a lot of films. And, you know,
12:18in Spotify, there are many songs on Spotify. And recently, I've been listening to a lot of his music.
12:23So, you know, those are my two favorite musicians from Calcutta.
12:32As you said, you always sing in the family, you also sing in Bhua.
12:37Yes.
12:37So, how much help did you get from that?
12:40Very, very. I think, I'm very blessed that, you know, I'm from a musical family,
12:46that, you know, I can ask, you know, Bhua, am I sounding good in this? Am I sounding bad in this?
12:51So, when, you know, Sagrika Bhua is in town, you know, I always play her my new stuff.
12:56And she always tells me, you know, this is sounding nice, that is sounding nice.
12:58Recently, actually, I got to sing on stage with her, and that was a very, very special moment.
13:04Because, you know, she's obviously, I mean, in my Bhua, I'm, you know, very, very grateful for her.
13:10So, you know, it's been a musical fantasy, but hopefully soon, you know, there will be more of a chance.
13:25You know, it will happen.
13:27You know, thank you so, so much, you know, for all the love, all the blessings.
13:36And I'll keep trying to get better, and I'll hopefully give you guys more music.
