I design a whole new vacation home for Queenie in Happy Home Paradise the DLC to Animal Crossing New Horizons!
Transcript
00:00Welcome back everybody. My name is Estelle. This is Cozy Estelle. Today we are playing
00:15Animal Crossing's New Horizons, the DLC, Happy Home Paradise. I am going to my airport and I'm
00:25going to work. That's the option I choose when I talk to Orville. I definitely want to be airborne
00:34and I love the sound of Dodo Airlines.
00:47That's it. That's the tone that I always love. Brings me so much joy. Makes me think I'm flying
00:53for real. Nico is a cute little helper character that helps you revisit old homes that you
01:14already decorated. So this is a little island area. I check the beach every time I come here
01:23to find a message in a bottle. Sometimes there is one and sometimes there isn't.
01:28So I got to learn a new recipe which is really cool.
01:34And all the villagers that are on this front facing beach are options and opportunity for you to
01:41create their house, give them a vacation home.
01:45And then back here beyond the arch is where all of the completed villagers homes, the villagers
01:53hang out back here. I said that weird, sorry. So since that villagers back here, that means
01:59I already created a home for them. A vacation home.
02:02So let's go in the main headquarters here and talk to Lottie, the leader, the boss.
02:19Ooh, there's lots of goodies to buy. I have a lot of pokey, pokey. How do I say that word?
02:29Pokey, pokey. I have a lot of currency from previous decorating. So I'm buying all of these items
02:36to add to my collection. I don't know where I'm going to put it all, but I'm going to add
02:42it anyway.
02:42Sometimes you don't need to know all of the steps at the beginning. You can figure them
02:48out as you go. And that's kind of how I live my life.
02:53Upstairs is the lockers and a DIY bench. Looks like a hammock too. So if you have any DIY needs,
03:04you can store things in there and build things with the bench. And then you can access your
03:12work outfit through the work uniform through the locker. There's not as many options for your work
03:24uniform because it's work. So they only give you professional looking items, I guess. Not a big fan
03:32of the basketball attire, but those pants are kind of cute. Hmm. No, I like those pants a lot better.
03:42Graduation cap. What the? Ooh, yeah. Those flowers are very cute. Those are my favorite.
03:56There.
04:00Blue roses on my pants. Can't beat that, right?
04:02All right. Now I got my new work uniform set.
04:17Yes, I'm ready to work.
04:18I have changed into my uniform and now I am venturing out to the front. Which villager will I
04:32pick? Well, if you know the name of this video, then you already know what villager I'm going to pick.
04:38Queenie. The beautiful purple queenie.
04:53Contrast courtyard. So Queenie wants those items in her home, which we will see again when we get there.
05:13And Lottie gives me the opportunity to choose where to place Queenie.
05:17My rule right now with my happy home paradise is all of my vacation homes are next to each other.
05:24So I'm going to choose a spot that is already touching one of the areas that I've already done.
05:29So everyone has their own area.
05:37Perfect.
05:37It kind of looks desert-like, but there's green grass, so it's not all desert, right? It's some luscious greenery.
05:49Let's go to the site Queenie. Yeah!
06:02So much space for good things.
06:04I don't know if I like that she calls me chicken or not.
06:10Contrast courtyard. Let's do this.
06:14So, I know that she liked the blacks and the whites, but the yard outside doesn't really get judged like the inside.
06:23So I'm just going to do what I want to do.
06:25Okay.
06:34So I want to go to the Avoids.
06:38Okay.
06:40So I like that.
06:49Okay.
06:50Now, America has drei.
06:53Now, America has three different details.
06:57So let's go to 됩니다.
07:00Okay.
07:01I put fencing around her whole yard except by the pond because I want a
07:17little path to go back to the pond. I still want that accessible for sure.
07:21Oh good, it can be centered. Good, good, good. I like that.
07:42I always have the dilemma of two-spaced path or one-spaced path. Which is it? Which
07:49one's better? And I think it just depends on what you want to put around it. So
07:54this area, if it's two spaces, that's a lot of spaces taken up for a path. If it's
08:00one space, that's a little bit more appropriate for this yard.
08:06And my process is unleashing as many pieces as possible first and then rearranging after
08:21that.
08:26I want to talk about what's going on.
08:27It's a little bit more about how to go I yourself in the middle of the day.
08:31When I want to say it's a little bit more, I would say that I have two ways to go
08:39to the end of the day.
08:40I want to take the same guys off.
08:43That's a lot of information so you can get me, I want to enjoy the idea.
08:47It's because I don't like it, because I can even talk to the end of the day.
08:51Now we gotta add the big trees to balance out the little shrubs.
09:21Because I want to put seating areas too.
09:28I like that it shows the outlines to know how much space it'll actually take up when you put it somewhere.
09:40Can't forget the flowers.
09:43I think orange and white are gonna be my colors.
09:47Yep, yep, beautiful.
09:51Hmm.
09:51I gotta make a pattern.
10:19White, orange, white, orange, white, orange.
10:23I love colored patterns.
10:25It just makes sense to my colorful mind.
10:28Hmm.
10:45I like that view
10:59for viewing
11:01but for placing
11:15this peacock chair
11:29I really love
11:31because it makes me feel like
11:33a well-deserved space to sit
11:35so let's do another one
11:45just kidding
11:47let's do the pergola first
11:48yep
11:50I gotta make it orange
11:51oh my goodness
11:52I love it
11:53it looks so good
11:54sometimes I like those
12:15yeah I definitely want to chill there
12:25ooh a white and green one
12:42so I got a pink one
12:43and then I got a white and green one
12:45perfect
12:45can it fit under the pergola
12:47I guess not
12:48it can fit behind it
12:49eh
12:50that's not really what I was going for
12:53yeah I can't even sit in it
13:00so let's change that
13:02cute
13:19yeah let's get some pink and gray
13:25purple door
13:28orange door
13:28yeah orange door
13:32way better
13:36I like it
13:37oh yeah
13:40these flowers
13:41I'm trying to get it under the pergola
13:57but I don't think it'll fit
13:59hey I like that I think
14:18yeah
14:19this green orange white yard in the middle of a orange white yard
14:22yeah this green orange white yard in the middle of a orange desert perfect
14:32now what will it be inside
14:38we gotta open those packages
14:43and definitely add those in perfect all right let's expand the room just to make it a little bit
14:50bigger perfect an eight by eight i definitely want to use the windows and that little
15:01entryway flooring
15:13so this is going to be the same thing where i just go through things and get them out in the room and
15:19then i'll arrange it second
15:33that's an ugly wall let's change the wall please yeah that's a little bit better
15:49i'm trying to decide what direction i should go in
16:03I'm trying to decide what direction I should go in. Should I be making a living room, kitchen,
16:21bedroom situation? Should I just focus on a living room situation? I'm trying to decide.
16:28I like a lot of tables because I like to put a lot of stuff on the tables.
16:33So I'm doing mainly black and white because I like
17:03to keep color stories. Um, that makes sense.
17:06These are some of my favorite pieces of furniture because it's open
17:27and it just looks very like minimalistic, but not.
17:34I guess that's the millennial in me. I like minimalism, but I don't at the same time.
17:39I do, but I like colors. So I like colorful minimalism. I guess that's a caveat.
17:45Always need a mirror. Always need a mirror.
17:54Well, hello, partition. That looks awesome.
17:59This is going to be fun to play around with.
18:08Hmm. Lighting?
18:12Toilet? Plants? Hmm.
18:14Yep, definitely need a TV.
18:31Yeah, it's making me blue.
18:32A blue TV in a black and white room.
18:38Heh heh.
18:39That sounds like a good song lyric.
18:43Ooh, a typewriter. Okay.
18:49I like to add the villagers' photo in their vacation home because...
18:54I don't know. I guess it's just like a little treat for them.
18:57I'm trying really hard not to just hum with this music.
19:07Heh heh heh.
19:17Alright, spread out the lights.
19:23In each little quadrant.
19:27Hmm.
19:38Yeah, let's just get this spread out a little bit so I know what I'm working with.
19:44Okay.
19:47This is a purple peacock named Queenie, and I'm making a home for her that's black and white.
19:52I just don't feel like that's fitting.
19:54But I have to because those are her requirements.
19:57Hmm, how are these going to be?
20:07I'll figure it out.
20:10And I usually do bedrooms in a corner.
20:13Like, in a far corner like that.
20:15Yeah.
20:15Yeah.
20:15Yeah, a panda should go by her bed.
20:32Yeah, and then a mirror.
20:36I want to put the partition by there, but I don't want it to block the window.
20:41Will that make sense?
20:46That doesn't look too bad.
20:49Okay.
20:56We're going to do a typewriter over there, maybe?
21:02Hmm?
21:03Between the bedroom and the living room.
21:05Little partition.
21:12Definitely a study.
21:13Yeah, let's put the typewriter on the desk.
21:25There.
21:26There.
21:26There.
21:26I am humming internally, guys.
21:48That's too tight, I think.
21:50Let's shift it around a little.
21:52No, that's not going to be enough space to get through.
22:04Hmm.
22:04Get that out of the way.
22:21Get the TV closer to the couch.
22:29There.
22:29There, there, there.
22:30I still have a lot more items to add in here, too.
22:43The blue TV.
22:44The blue TV.
22:44Do you?
22:46Hmm.
22:46Hmm.
22:47Hmm.
22:52Have a good run.
23:00Don't let me go.
23:09yeah I definitely need chairs in my living room too too tight too tight yep
23:30gotta pull it out pull it out there I don't like that dresser right there
23:36behind the couch looks bad yeah I like that that fits
24:06okay
24:08no it doesn't fit that's okay let's put it over there
24:36okay
24:47yeah
24:56hmm I think I'm liking this I think I like those partitions
25:22okay
25:24okay
25:26okay
25:28okay
25:30okay
25:32okay
25:34okay
25:36okay
25:38okay
25:40okay
25:54okay the fourth corner is going to be kitchen so we've got kitchen corner living room corner
26:03bedroom corner bedroom corner and study corner with a desk and this is an 8x8 space so you can
26:11really fit a lot in this 8x8 space I could have made it bigger to a 10x10 but I'll probably do that
26:17and then in a future home not really feeling the bathroom vibe so I'm gonna leave that stuff alone
26:31I already got the panda
26:33those are a few of my custom designs I find them all on the portal I have not designed any of them myself
26:57definitely need a fruit basket and definitely need a traditional tea set
27:09ooh apple pie
27:11nah not the elegant lamp
27:15nah not the elegant lamp
27:19what else what else
27:21books
27:23a phone
27:25a no
27:27a chess board are you gonna give her a chess board
27:29no I'm not
27:31a chess board
27:35no I'm not
27:37Now stick the fridge in the corner and then the stove over there and then let's put the
27:59apple pie over there and the fruit basket over there in the living room lovely oh yeah rug time you
28:15always gotta add in the rugs at the end probably so then you know what kind of space you need to fill
28:29okay that one by one rug is too small I definitely don't need that one
28:49okay get rid of that
29:00get rid of the little guy and try again oh I like that
29:13hmm it just doesn't fit quite right
29:24hmm maybe a bunch of loaves a blue one
29:38yeah okay
29:45yeah and a simple black one for the study
30:08definitely gotta add in a gamer chair for the desk for the typewriter yeah yeah yeah
30:32there the science lab can go there
30:45There. The science lab can go there. Actually. Let's make it make sense. Regression over
31:09there. Science over here. There. Oh yeah, the tea set. That's better.
31:39These anthurium plants are really pretty and I love them because you can set them on the
31:50table and on the ground or the floor. Comes in handy. It's almost done. It's almost done
31:59guys. Oh my goodness. It looks so good. I love it. Let's do a little dining room. Let's
32:03get some chairs and a table in here to eat food from.
32:13All right. Table, table, table. Small table. Like the smallest table ever.
32:23Let's get rid of that orange chair because it's not going to be part of it. There. Okay.
32:44Let's look for a table again. There. Those little guys. There. Yeah. The small cafe table.
32:57Perfect. White please. Lovely. There. Oops. Perfect. Right behind the TV. Yay. I love it.
