00:00Upon signing in Pittsburgh, Aaron Rodgers noted that he was looking forward to helping mentor
00:05Will Howard. The rookie looks forward to being a sponge. Howard told Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh
00:11Post-Gazette this week that Rodgers has been everything he'd hoped for in an NFL guru.
00:16He's been so awesome to me so far, said Howard via CBS Sports. Obviously, we've only gotten to
00:24be together for about three days, but I got a really good feeling about him, about this whole
00:29QB room. I think we already, in this past week, mesh really well, hit it off. I think we got a
00:36good vibe, good group. Aaron has been so willing to help me. He's like, literally, as much or as
00:42little as you want me to help you, I'll be there. He's already given me tips, little things here and
00:48there in the meeting room, on the field, in my drops, different little things. Obviously, I can't
00:54do the things that he can do mechanically, so I don't want to replicate that too much because
00:59that's pretty unique. But for the most part, everything I can learn from that guy is invaluable.
01:06Rodgers hasn't been shy about his willingness to mentor younger players. He did so with Jordan Love
01:12in Green Bay and said all the right things about Zach Wilson in New York. The four-time MVP signed his
01:18deal in Pittsburgh in time for last week's mini-camp, where he slid next to Howard during meeting sessions.
01:23I had an open seat next to me, and there came Aaron. Howard said. I just thought it was pretty
01:30cool that he was willing to sit next to me. I remember even day one, he had a couple of things
01:36that we hadn't really gone over yet, a couple of things he was asking me for clarification on.
01:42I'm like, holy yes, man. Aaron Rodgers is asking me questions right now, and I'm answering them.
01:48What is going on? What's going on is that the sixth-round pick is getting a first-class
01:53football education from a four-time NFL MVP and surefire Hall of Famer.
01:59Those opportunities are rare, and Howard is smart to soak up as much in one year as he can in hopes
02:05of elevating his own career. What's going on is that the sixth-round pick is getting a first-class

02:22Roger's presence not only raises the standard in the QB room but also creates a unique learning
02:28environment that few rookies ever experience. Howard understands that being around greatness
02:34can accelerate development in ways that film and drills alone cannot. If he continues to approach
02:40this mentorship with humility and hunger, he could walk away with more than just knowledge.
02:45He could walk away with the foundation for a long, successful NFL career.
