00:04The Rock hasn't been seen in a WWF ring since Mr. McMahon indefinitely suspended the Great One earlier this month.
00:11But the suspension hasn't kept the People's Champ out of the spotlight.
00:15The Rock and the Ninth Wonder of the World China are invited to last weekend's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
00:21And the Superstars' cameras are there for a behind-the-scenes look at the star-studded event.

00:31Live from Space Station Slice, it's the 2001 Kids' Choice Awards.
00:36The award show, what it's all about is Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
00:41And obviously, you know, all the kids vote on the awards and things like that.
00:45And it's great because that's certainly, you know, an audience that a lot of entertainers forget about.
00:50All the celebrities and entertainers all come out on this day and get back to the kids, so it's a great thing.

02:08I presented the best actress in a movie award, and I presented it with Rob Snyder.
02:14You know, Rob, I always thought we looked a lot alike, so I did some research, and I
02:21found out we're brothers.
02:22Oddly enough, in a scary way, there's some similarities between The Rock and Rob Snyder.

02:36I'm with The Rock.
02:37It was great to come out here, and it's one of those shows that are really relaxed, and
02:41everybody just kicks back, and everybody just hangs out and has a great time, and there's
02:45not a lot of egos running around, because in the end, at the end of the day, everybody
02:48just remembers that it's something for the kids.
02:51And it was a great time, and I'll come back every single year, no question.

03:03that hasn't kept the People's Champ out of the public eye.
03:06In fact, The Rock's getting more attention than ever, featured this month in both Vanity
03:10Fair and Premier Magazine, in articles discussing The Rock's promising movie career.
03:16The Rock makes his big screen debut next Friday in the highly anticipated sequel, The
03:21Mummy Returns.
03:22Here's a special look at the summer blockbuster.
03:25The People's Champion, The Rock, is looking to put the smack down on Brendan Fraser in
03:31The Mummy Returns.
03:32WWF star The Rock has been cooking up a movie deal.
03:36Now, of course, The Rock may know how to throw his weight around on television, but what
03:39about in the movie business?
03:41A force more powerful than any the world has ever known is about to be unleashed.
03:49The character played in The Mummy Returns is called the Scorpion King.
03:52Of course, the Scorpion King in ancient Egypt was a fierce warrior who really just kicked
03:59all kinds of ancient fights everywhere.

04:02His army is defeated in the film, and he asked the god Anubis above, could he grant me the
04:09ability to seek the back of my redemption, in return, compromise, and I'll save myself.
04:14Paying the ultimate sacrifice, trying to do the right thing, but at the same time, he's
04:19selling his soul to the devil.
04:23Full of blood.
04:25Full of blood for the Scorpion King.
04:26The special effects in this film are just completely amazing, and I was utterly blown away, and I
04:33know the audience will be too.
04:35As far as for this being my, this role being my first feature film role, I think it's fantastic.
04:41I was excited about it, just excited now talking to you about it, so it was a great experience,
04:48and I look forward to working again.
04:51I'm very excited that this is one of his first movies.
04:55I am always happy to meet great people, and The Rock is one of those.
05:00Craig, he's terrific.
05:01I knew that from his performance on Saturday Night Live.
05:05A lot of my friends and colleagues who worked with him on that gave him a glowing report.
05:10I thought he was very funny.
05:11I met him in Morocco, and he was just this really cool guy, and everybody said, oh, The
05:15Rock.
05:15I don't know anything what they were talking about.
05:17I was like, what are you talking about?
05:18What's this rock business, you know?
05:20And then somebody, Steve Summers actually showed me some tape of, you know, him doing
05:26his thing in the ring and stuff.
05:28I was like, wow, that's what he does.
05:30That's so cool, you know?
05:31Boy, it was fun.
05:31It was really fun directing him, just because he loves to listen, loves to learn, and when
05:35somebody's like that, when they're smart and they love to learn, they're going
05:38to go all the way.
05:39I'll call a rock, and you do the exact same thing, but then when you're out there somewhere,
05:43I'll say it again.
05:44I'll yell, rock, you let me say it again, and just do the same thing.
05:46Okay.
05:46Basically, at the end of the day, I needed somebody who could beat up Brendan Fraser and
05:49Ronald Vossu at the same time.
05:51Both guys were six foot four, 200-something pounds of solid steel.
05:54And so that limited the field, down to about the rock.
05:58Yeah!
05:59And you stop yelling as you turn forward.
06:01I'll go now!
06:03Action!
06:04Punch!
06:04So you're asking me, in a match between the rock and the mummy, who would win?
06:08Well, it depends on when you catch the mummy.
06:09If he just woke up, the rock would definitely beat him.
06:12But you give him a little time to regenerate and get some of his powers back, and you know,
06:16the rock would have a tough time.
06:17The rock or the mummy?
06:18The mummy, since he's a bad guy, I think would lose.
06:22That guy would always lose.
06:24Oh, no question.
06:25I can tell you, he'd rock bottom the mummy, for one.
06:28Then he'd give him the people's elbow, two.
06:31And then he'd pin him, one, two, three.
06:34It's just that simple.
06:35He'd stand up and say, if you smell what the rock is cooking.
06:37There's certainly a challenge that lies ahead for me in terms of making movies, and of course,
06:43starting with this one.
06:45And the Scorpion King, it looks like the Scorpion King prequel will be the next film,
06:49which I'm certainly excited about.
06:51And it's going to be fantastic.
06:53The film's going to be great.
06:54Look forward to it.
