00:00Hey there everybody, I'm your host, and today's question is, have you ever seen a ghost?
00:05If so, when, where, and what did you do?
00:09I'm going to start us off with a personal story.
00:11This one comes from my grandpa.
00:13So, we were eating triscuits in silence in the kitchen.
00:16You know how it is.
00:17It was one of those moments where you just kind of sit there thinking about life, and
00:21he was staring off into the window.
00:23I was staring off into the wall, and then he finally broke the silence.
00:27He said, there are ghosts all around us.
00:31Then I asked him why he thought that, and he told me this story.
00:35So, when my grandfather was a boy, he and his brother used to love playing hide-and-seek.
00:40They would play it for hours on end.
00:42One afternoon, they went to the attic.
00:44It was an old house.
00:46The attic was hot and dusty.
00:47There were old trunks everywhere, and they decided to play hide-and-seek up there.
00:51They hid behind some trunks.
00:53Then their mom came up to get them.
00:55She started counting.
00:57One, two, three.
00:59My grandpa peeked out from behind the trunk.
01:01He saw his little brother hiding behind another one.
01:04And then he turned back.
01:05Their mom called his name.
01:07No answer.
01:08And eventually, they found him under one of the trunks fast asleep.
01:11That trunk was heavy.
01:13It would have been impossible for a little kid like him to move it.
01:16To this day, my grandpa says he doesn't know what happened.
01:19Did he imagine it?
01:21Was it a ghost?
01:21Or maybe, just maybe, it was a case of mistaken identity.
01:26Maybe it really was his brother, but somehow he ended up under the trunk without anyone knowing.
01:31Now, you might think that's weird.
01:33I mean, who suddenly disappears and reappears under a heavy trunk?
01:37Well, this next story may be even weirder.
01:39It comes from a Reddit user.
01:40They say,
01:41When I was 19, I lived in an old Victorian house with my friends.
01:46We had just moved in, and we were still unpacking boxes.
01:49We were sitting in the living room unpacking when my friends suddenly stood up and yelled,
01:53What the hell was that?
01:55We heard what sounded like a woman screaming from the second floor.
01:59About 10 minutes later, my other friend stood up again and said,
02:02What the hell was that?
02:04Again, we heard the exact same scream.
02:06This time, we were definitely freaked out, but still, none of us wanted to go upstairs.
02:12After about 5 more minutes of the three of us sitting in tense silence,
02:15we decided that we should probably check it out.
02:18As we slowly walked up the stairs, the hair on the back of my neck stood up.
02:23Every step creaked.
02:24We finally reached the top of the stairs and started looking for the source of the noise.
02:29And that's when we saw it.
02:30Standing in the middle of the hallway was a girl in a white nightgown.
02:33She turned around, looked at us, then walked down the hall and disappeared.
02:38We never saw her again, but occasionally we hear her footsteps running up and down the hallway.
02:44Finally, we have our third story.
02:46This one comes from a Reddit user.
02:49They say,
02:49When I was in college, I shared a bathroom with five other girls.
02:54It was the typical bathroom setup.
02:56Five sinks in a row, three toilets, three showers.
02:59The girl closest to me had left for winter break, but everything in her sink area remained,
03:04including her toothbrush, makeup, etc.
03:07One night, I was getting ready for bed, and I noticed her toothbrush was moving.
03:11I thought nothing of it.
03:13I figured my roommate must have borrowed it.
03:15All the other girls and I argued over who did it, but no one owned up.
03:19One night, I was brushing my teeth, and I heard footsteps in the bathroom.
03:23I was the only person in there.
03:25I didn't think anything of it, and continued brushing my teeth.
03:28Then, I heard a knock.
03:30It was very clear.
03:32I ran out of the bathroom and hid in my room until morning.
03:35For my part, I think it's interesting to note that all three stories take place in old houses.
03:40Old houses are full of nooks and crannies, attics, and basements.
03:44It seems like the perfect place for a ghost to hide.
