Filipino activists stage protest over US airstrikes in Iran

More than a hundred Filipino activists gathered in Manila on Sunday to denounce recent United States airstrikes targeting key Iranian nuclear and military facilities.  The protest was held in response to airstrikes announced by US President Donald Trump on Saturday, which reportedly struck sites in Natanz, Fordo, and Isfahan in Iran. The Fordo facility was described as the primary target of the operation.  Protester Mong Palatino, criticized the US government for what they described as a dangerous provocation that could heighten tensions in the Middle East.

01:10are condemning the U.S. acts of aggression in Iran.

01:14We condemn the bombing of Iran.

01:16We condemn Israel's genocide in Palestine and Israel's attacks on Iran.

01:22This proves that the greatest threat to humanity is the U.S. government.

01:26So what the U.S. did is not just an escalation of conflict, not just an undermining of peace,

01:39but also it will cause suffering in the different parts of the world that will be felt by ordinary consumers and ordinary citizens.
