00:04In the first year, the Parliamentary Delegation of Estonia
00:10is a country in Northern Europe, Russia, Latvia, and Finland.
00:15It is a part of the delegation of the Philippines and the country
00:19in the corner of the global expansion and cyber security.
00:25We know that the conflicts and wars which are going on right now,
00:30unfortunately, in Europe and in the Middle East,
00:33affecting all of us.
00:34So it's the countries who really pay attention
00:37to a rule-based world order, transparency, predictability,
00:42as Estonia and the Philippines are.
00:46We have to find the ways how internationally,
00:49on multilateral level, we can work better
00:52to preempt these kinds of crises as we are witnessing at the moment.
01:08The prices of energy, specifically diesel for instance,
01:14have gone up also in Estonia dramatically during the last four weeks.
01:19It is very important also for Philippines and countries in this part of the world
01:24to understand that we are getting closer to very, very serious global conflict.
01:31I've used even the word or kind of term
01:34that we are sort of in the waiting room of World War III.
01:38There very much demands from political leaders on a global level
01:44to be very responsible when it comes to decisions.
01:48How do we see the end of these kind of conflicts and wars?
01:53Binigyan din niya ang halaga ng mga alyansa,
01:56batay sa karanasan ng Estonia na nasakop ng Russia noon.
01:59Prior to World War II, Estonia was a neutral country.
02:02And we hope that neutrality will save us.
02:06This strategy didn't work, unfortunately.
02:10They occupied us for 50 years.
02:12And ever since we regained our independence in 1991,
02:16our mantra, we should go never alone again.
02:21Maaari anyang may matutunan sa kanilang Pilipinas, lalong kaugnay ng West Philippine Sea.
02:26Since you're a country living beside a very powerful neighbor,
02:32what key lessons do you think can the Philippines learn from Estonia
02:37in terms of asserting its rights while managing tensions in the West Philippine Sea?
02:42You have to constantly build good alliances, good partnerships,
02:46that you are not alone.
02:47The United Nations is the only multilateral organization we can imagine
02:54who brings together all the countries around the world, around the globe.
03:00And that is kind of, if we don't have it, we have to invent it anyway.
03:06Sa usapin na ekonomiya, umaasang Estonia na mapapabilis ang negosasyon para sa Free Trade Agreement
03:12sa pagitan ng European Union at Pilipinas.
03:15It opens up a lot of opportunities for both sides.
03:21Binanggit din ang potensya ng kooperasyon sa ICT, Cyber Security at Digital Innovation.
03:29Maris Umali, GMA News.
03:35,
03:35,
03:36,
03:38,
03:40.
03:41Whatever scripted.
