Chinese student who raped 10 women is ‘one of the most prolific predators’

00:08As such, I am making a direct appeal today for anyone who has information or who thinks they are a victim.

00:50Zou was sentenced to life imprisonment on Thursday after a month long trial found him guilty of 11 counts of rape,

01:02with two of the offences relating to one victim. Three counts of voyeurism,

01:08ten of possession of an extreme pornographic image, one of false imprisonment,

01:15and three of possession of a controlled drug with intent to commit a sexual offence.

01:22Judge Rosina Cottage told him he would serve 22 years and 227 days before he was eligible for parole,

01:31taking into account time spent on remand.

01:36Scotland Yard said 24 women came forward following publicity in the media around Zou's trial

01:44to say they think they may have been attacked by him.

01:49Prosecutors say among them was a victim in China known as Female Bee.

01:55In her statement, she wrote of being trapped in self-blame.

02:00Zou was said to be unmoved in the dock as he heard his sentence.

02:06He comes from a wealthy family, affording a Rolex, a wardrobe of designer clothes,

02:14cosmetic procedures such as a hair transplant and facial surgery,

02:19as well as thousands in monthly rent while living here in London as an international engineering student.
