00:00Previous attempts to qualify for the finals all ended in failure, but here in the USA these players have done their country proud.
00:06Victories over Belgium and Morocco and a narrow defeat against Holland.
00:10Their star striker Mohamed, known as the Desert Pelé, is unfortunately out injured.
00:15Algeber takes his place, but it's basically the line-up which has got them this far.
00:21Well, Sweden also rely on a settled formation.
00:24The only change for them is a good one as far as they're concerned.
00:27And the return of their main goalscorer, Martin Darlene, who was suspended for their last game against Brazil.
00:32The Swedes are one of only four nations who remain unbeaten in the tournament so far.
00:37They're very confident and Darlene himself has gone on record as saying that if they lose this game,
00:42then everyone will see the World Cup as a fiasco and they don't intend that to happen.
00:50Swelteringly hot day here in Dallas, in the north of Texas.
00:54And the Saudi Arabians feel that people have been a little unkind by saying that these weather conditions favour them.
01:00They have said, well, it's so hot in our own country that we always play our matches in the evening.
01:06We're not stupid enough to play in these kind of temperatures.
01:08But even though that might be true, Kevin, I think the difference between a Saudi Arabian evening
01:13and a Scandinavian winter and snow is still quite considerable.
01:18Oh yeah, they don't play in the afternoons and it's a shame sometimes that players have to do that.
01:23But here we go. We'll soon find out how good they are.
01:28The Saudi Arabians all in white, attacking from left to right.
01:32Sweden in their familiar yellow shirts and blue shorts.
01:35A la Brazil. I wonder.
01:39Zeba Maui, the number four, fighting in midfield.
01:42Armin, the man who scored with a header to give them the lead against Holland.
01:46In fact, they've scored early on in their matches.
01:50So that's a feature of their play.
01:52Although they're a very, very fit side.
01:54And they seem to be still strong at the end of matches
01:57where perhaps other teams, and particularly European teams,
02:00in these conditions are weakening.
02:03Number 19 here is Abdul Salah, who's come into the side.
02:07And that's a very good ball forward.
02:08And it's caught the Swedish defence out in the chancy area early on.
02:12It was a very weak shot.
02:14But the way they opened up the Swedish defence
02:16will be of real concern to Tommy Svensson, the Swedish coach.
02:21The ball over the top, completely catching Sweden out.
02:25Kevin.
02:25Oh, it was a terrific ball in.
02:27And they've just asked a little question early on of the Swedish defence.
02:30And they didn't really come up with any good answers.
02:32And I think he'll be very disappointed.
02:34I think he snatched it.
02:36Roger Jung getting the ball forward to Klas Ingersson,
02:39the PSV Eindhoven player.
02:40Most of these Swedes, of course, play their league football in other countries.
02:46That's a good ball forward to Darlene.
02:49And he couldn't get in the cross.
02:51They've got great pace about the side, Saudi Arabia.
02:55That has been noticeable in their first two games.
02:58Al-Jabr making a good run for them here.
03:00Also, Salah on the far side.
03:02And another good ball tests the Swedish defence.
03:06And certainly when they go forward, Saudi Arabia,
03:08they do not lack confidence.
03:09We've seen that already with a couple of long-range goals from them.
03:13And that fantastic run by Oiran,
03:15which was arguably the best game,
03:18or rather the best goal of the tournament so far,
03:20begun in his own half,
03:22to give them that win against Belgium.
03:26The challenge there by Armin.
03:28The referee didn't see anything wrong with it.
03:31Anderson.
03:34That will be a Swedish throw.
03:36The Swedes runners-up in Group B to Brazil.
03:38They drew 2-2 against Cameroon,
03:40beat Russia 3-1,
03:41and then drew 1-1 against Brazil.
03:43Unbeaten, therefore.
03:47Anderson's cross, Darlene, getting onto it.
03:49Oh, it's a superb opening goal for Sweden
03:53after six minutes.
03:55And it had to be Martin Darlene,
03:58his fourth of the World Cup.
03:59Well, it's a great goal,
04:03but you cannot deny that the work done by Kenneth Anderson
04:06and the cross in
04:07made it very, very difficult
04:09for defenders to defend against it.
04:11And you put Darlene in that position,
04:13and there's no doubt where the ball's going to go.
04:14He's a terrific finisher.
04:16Watch this ball in.
04:17What a difficult ball this is to defend.
04:19Look at the defender.
04:20He's given it up.
04:22And he puts it in the bomb corner,
04:24which is always the most difficult place
04:25for a keeper to get to.
04:27That's real copybook finishing.
04:28Their first meaningful attack
04:30and Sweden have taken the lead here.
04:33Martin Darlene suspended for their last game
04:36against Brazil after two yellow cards.
04:38One goal against Cameroon in the opening match,
04:40two against Russia,
04:42and he's already making a claim
04:44to be one of the leading scorers in this World Cup.
04:47A fourth goal in the competition from him
04:49on the occasion of his 31st international appearance.
04:54I know Tommy Svensson, the coach,
04:56was saying that it's almost done them a favor
04:58him being suspended for that opening match
05:00because, or rather, their previous game,
05:02because he would come back to this match fresh.
05:05He'd had more rest.
05:07Hadn't had that extra game
05:08and has the zest to return to the side.
05:12And he certainly showed that
05:13with that beautiful positioning and great finish.
05:16Sweden in the lead then.
05:17Whereas they were looking the dangerous side
05:19in the very early exchanges.
05:21Sweden are looking quite comfortable
05:23with their one-goal lead given to them
05:24by Martin Darlene.
05:26Six minutes gone.
05:27Lovely little return ball there to Jung.
05:31And a great second pass as well from Darlene.
05:34Jung again with the cross.
05:35Looks dangerous.
05:35The goalkeeper made a mess of it.
05:37And the defender didn't do a great deal better.
05:39Well, certainly, that opened up Saudi Arabia.
05:43And Adéa, who really made the mistake
05:46which led to Holland's winning goal
05:48in the opening match,
05:50made another one here.
05:50A total misjudgment.
05:52And Al-Jawad almost chested it
05:55towards his own goal.
05:56I think Jung was very disappointed.
05:59It was a real quality cross.
06:00And Rowland decided to stay out.
06:02If it had come in a little bit,
06:03I think he could have well seen Sweden
06:04go 2-0 up there.
06:05Because it was,
06:07although the goalkeeper made a hash of it,
06:08it was a very difficult cross again
06:09to deal with.
06:11Schwarz with the corner kick then
06:13for Sweden.
06:14And it's a useful one,
06:15but the defender was in the right place this time.
06:19Turn.
06:21Looking for Kenneth Anderson.
06:22Not a very good ball.
06:23Now let's see if the Saudis can
06:24go well on the break again here
06:26with Al-Jawad,
06:27who's been easily their liveliest player so far.
06:30The long ball down to Faleta.
06:33And good defending this time
06:34by Joachim Bjorklund.
06:39Number 13, Al-Jawad.
06:40Keeps the attack moving.
06:44And Sweden.
06:46Win it back.
06:46And a good ball forward again
06:47for Kenneth Anderson.
06:49He's got round the last defender.
06:50Great running by Anderson.
06:54Well, he could have extended the lead there,
06:56no doubt.
06:58That's what I warned about early on.
06:59He's not just a big target man.
07:01In fact,
07:02he's probably better with the ball to his feet.
07:04And he showed there again
07:05that he has got a real turn of foot,
07:08as they say,
07:08in racing.
07:10Just the finish lacking in him
07:12because he tried to take it,
07:13I think,
07:14with the wrong foot.
07:15If he'd had a left foot,
07:15maybe it would have been better.
07:16Here's Al-Bishy.
07:23And good ball to Faleta.
07:27Another opportunity for him
07:29to do better with the cross.
07:32But Sweden are marking well
07:33inside the penalty area.
07:34It's a good run, though,
07:35by Faleta.
07:35Now he's got round the back.
07:37And that was danger.
07:40Well,
07:41that could certainly have been
07:43the equalising goal
07:44for the man we mentioned moments ago,
07:46Al-Bishy.
07:48Yeah, he did very well.
07:49I mean,
07:50he was unlucky not to hit the target
07:51and force us to say,
07:52what a great run this was.
07:54And he's just a bit behind him.
07:55He doesn't quite get the contact
07:56he wanted to.
07:57All comes off.
07:58You'll see one of the goals
07:59of the tournament,
08:00I'm sure of that.
08:01Yeah,
08:01I don't think they fancy tap-ins
08:03in the six-yard box.
08:04They obviously decided
08:06if it's going to be a goal,
08:07they might as well
08:08make it a spectacular one.
08:11But they're defending now.
08:13Brolin in possession.
08:14Kenneth Anderson.
08:16Brolin again.
08:17Tries the shot
08:18from a long way out.
08:23No problem for Adeya.
08:32Here's Awiran.
08:32As we see again,
08:34that rather feeble effort
08:36in all honesty
08:36by Brolin.
08:38Easy for me to say,
08:39sitting up here,
08:40I know.
08:41And I don't think this game
08:42is anything like over
08:43even though Sweden
08:44took such an early lead.
08:45Ten minutes to half-time,
08:47they're looking dangerous
08:47sporadically here,
08:49Saudi Arabia.
08:50Here's Awiran.
08:51Good effort by Awiran.
08:54Well,
08:54that underlines the threat.
08:56He was the man
08:57who scored that stunning goal
08:58of course against Belgium.
09:07Well, I'm sure
09:08Tommy Svensson,
09:10the Swedish coach,
09:11will say to his players,
09:11look,
09:12we need another goal
09:12to make this game.
09:13You have to look at
09:15the Saudis as well,
09:16Al-Bishi
09:17and your man,
09:18I say algebra.
09:20Algebra, yes.
09:21Yes.
09:22He's got his maths right.
09:24Well, that's it.
09:25That's the half-time whistle.
09:26A disappointing first half
09:28here in Dallas.
09:29But in this kind of heat,
09:31the players looking
09:32really, really tired.
09:35Sweden scoring
09:36the only goal of the half
09:37after six minutes
09:38with a fine set-up
09:41by Kenneth Anderson
09:42and a very good finish,
09:44a headed goal
09:44by Martin Darlene.
09:46Hello, welcome back to Dallas.
09:47It's Saudi Arabia nil,
09:49Sweden one at the moment,
09:50the second half
09:50soon to get underway.
09:51Don,
09:52what have the Saudis
09:53got to do to get back
09:54into this game
09:54in your view?
09:55Just keep going.
09:56I think the Swedes
09:57are physically in trouble.
09:59I mean, like Kevin said,
10:00the team is now separated
10:01between the back
10:02and the front.
10:02There's virtually
10:03no midfield players.
10:05The midfield players
10:06are frightened to go forward
10:07because they know
10:07they can't get back.
10:09And I think if the Saudis
10:10can keep the pace up,
10:12keep going at them,
10:13I think they'll keep
10:13making chances.
10:14Well, let's just have a look
10:15at the best chance
10:15they did have.
10:17And the Germans
10:18were making this mistake,
10:20if you like,
10:20or maybe it was the heat
10:21doing them.
10:22They had no midfield either.
10:24There's nothing they can do it.
10:24Faletar here,
10:25virtually gets into the byline,
10:27pulls it back to Albishy,
10:29he just gets outside
10:30that near post.
10:31He had to hit it early
10:32because he was getting
10:32closed down.
10:33There's Faletar there,
10:35gets past Roger Young,
10:37pulls it back.
10:38And he has to get around it
10:40and he just doesn't get it
10:41onto the goal.
10:42As we were saying,
10:43the Germans were wilting
10:44yesterday, weren't they?
10:45Although the Belgians
10:46didn't, funnily enough.
10:48I mean, it's not automatic,
10:49is it, that because
10:49you're a European side,
10:51you're not going to
10:52stand the second half.
10:52No, but I feel,
10:54I honestly feel that
10:55Sweden have got to score
10:57in the first 50 minutes
10:58of the second half
10:59to kill the game completely.
11:01I feel if they don't do that
11:02and the score stays at 1-0,
11:04then the way that
11:04Saudi Arabia has come,
11:06I think they'll go
11:06and get the draw
11:07and if they go into exit time,
11:09I think they'll beat Sweden.
11:10Yeah,
11:10I was with the Saudis yesterday
11:12and they got a little bit
11:13uptight about people saying,
11:14oh, well,
11:14no wonder you're doing well
11:15because you like the climate.
11:16They're saying,
11:17no, we don't.
11:18We play at night
11:19when the temperature
11:19really dips.
11:21Okay, it might be,
11:22it might dip at night
11:23when they play at night
11:23but the point is
11:24they live in that country
11:25and in that heat
11:26and therefore
11:26they must get used to it.
11:27They're completely acclimatised
11:29Tony.
11:29Oh, they're acclimatised.
11:30Whatever they say.
11:31That is not a valid excuse.
11:32No.
11:32You don't accept that one.
11:33No, they can keep going
11:34as they have done
11:35in games.
11:36And we've seen so many goals,
11:38Tony, in that last 10 minutes,
11:39deciding goals.
11:41So if you were
11:42Thomas Venson now,
11:43what would you be thinking?
11:44Well, you'd be trying
11:45to keep your players
11:46tight and composed together,
11:49squeeze them back in,
11:50see if you can get them
11:51back to support midfield
11:52and get up midfield
11:54and then come back together,
11:55work up and down as a team.
11:57It's difficult.
11:58Probably.
11:58Because obviously
11:58the front players,
11:59once they,
12:00I mean, you've seen Darling
12:01and you've seen Anderson,
12:02when the attack's broken down,
12:03they've gone dead.
12:04Okay, right.
12:05Well, I can see the boys
12:06waiting to get the second half
12:08underway,
12:08Alan Parry and Kevin Keegan
12:10over in the Cotton Bowl.
12:11It's back to you.
12:13Yeah, we've had a cold shower
12:14and a rub down
12:15with the sporting pink
12:16and a drink.
12:16It is water, honestly,
12:18isn't it, Kevin?
12:19Yes, mine is.
12:20Sorry for Jack Charlton
12:20on that black stuff.
12:21Mine is, Alan.
12:22That smells a bit like
12:23Fogba to me.
12:24But the players are just
12:25coming back out
12:25onto the field now
12:26and of course,
12:27because now we're
12:28into the second round stage,
12:29all the matches
12:30have reverted
12:31to the knockout format
12:32and if they were leveled
12:34at the end of 90 minutes,
12:35we'd have 30 minutes
12:36extra time
12:36and if they were still
12:37leveled at the end of that,
12:38then we would have penalties.
12:41Sweden in the yellow shirts
12:42and blue shorts,
12:43who happened to have just
12:43joined us,
12:44are leading by one goal
12:45to nil here.
12:46The other goal came
12:47after only six minutes
12:48scored by Martin Darlene
12:49of the Saudi Arabians,
12:51all in white,
12:51played really well at times
12:53in the first half
12:54and had their own chances
12:55to score.
12:57They've gone straight
12:57onto the attack again here.
12:58That was a dangerous
13:00through ball
13:00which almost caught out
13:02Roger Young
13:03for whichever team
13:05makes it
13:05in seven days' time.
13:07They've got a whole week
13:08to rest,
13:10recoup their energy.
13:12Those thoughts have to wait.
13:13There's still a lot of football
13:14to be played here.
13:15Brolin for Sweden
13:16doing well.
13:17Shaking off his marker
13:17perhaps for the first time
13:18in the game
13:19and a Granger's
13:19close to Darlene
13:20and that should have been
13:21number two for Sweden.
13:23It should have been
13:24all over then.
13:25Klaas Ingersson
13:26really holds his head
13:28in his hands
13:28and well he might.
13:29That was a bad miss.
13:32First time in the match
13:33we've really seen
13:34Brolin
13:34at his very best.
13:36I mean,
13:36he's not really
13:37until that point
13:38run at anybody.
13:40Terrific ball in
13:40and Ingersson
13:41will be disappointed
13:42at least that he
13:43didn't hit the target.
13:46Well, I think
13:46the player's reaction
13:47told the whole story then.
13:49He knew he'd committed
13:50a bit of a howler.
13:51Here goes Kenneth Anderson again
13:52and he's done well
13:53to get over the first challenge.
13:54It's great play by Anderson.
13:56Oh, that's a superb goal.
13:58That is
13:59different class.
14:02And they've done it again
14:03Sweden.
14:04Six minutes into
14:05the first half
14:06bang
14:071-0
14:07Six minutes into
14:09the second half
14:10bang
14:102-0
14:12That might be
14:12the quarter final.
14:15Well, that leaves
14:16the Saudis
14:17a terrific mountain
14:18to climb
14:18but what a
14:19terrific finish this was.
14:21Persistence paid off here.
14:22What a great run
14:23from Darlene.
14:24Look, he's took
14:24the player away
14:25and he drills it in
14:26and really
14:27a world-class finish
14:29by anybody's standards.
14:30Terrific
14:31on his weaker foot.
14:33Well, what a success
14:35he has been
14:36big.
14:37Kenneth Anderson
14:37laid on the first goal,
14:39scored the second,
14:40scored against Brazil
14:41in the previous game
14:42and that's now
14:4413 goals
14:45in 26 international
14:47appearances
14:47for
14:48Kenneth Anderson
14:49who plays for
14:50Lille
14:51in France.
14:53Although he's on his way
14:54I gather to
14:54Cannes,
14:56the other French club
14:56that
14:57Graham Ricks
14:58and Brian Steen
14:58used to play for
14:59I remember.
15:00And he might well
15:01have added a little bit
15:02to his value
15:03if that deal doesn't go through.
15:04He most certainly will.
15:05And he's dispossessed here,
15:07Kenneth Anderson.
15:07He has so far
15:09been the main difference
15:10without doubt
15:11between these two sides
15:13and Sweden
15:13are now looking at a place
15:15in the quarterfinals
15:16that's almost uncharted
15:17territory for them
15:18for many, many years
15:20as Albici tries
15:20the long shot
15:21and Rivelli
15:23at least I think
15:24was grateful
15:24to have something to do
15:25in the Swedish goal.
15:30Algeber
15:30star of the first half
15:32for them.
15:32A little bit quiet
15:33so far though
15:34in this second half.
15:36Albici in possession.
15:37And he's run
15:40straight into trouble
15:41and they've looked
15:41strangely enough
15:42a little bit naive
15:43at times today
15:44Saudi Arabia
15:45which is something
15:45that hadn't been apparent
15:47in their opening
15:48three matches
15:49but the Swedes
15:50seem to have just
15:50sucked them in
15:51and then hit them.
15:53And here they go again
15:54trying to do that
15:54with Broline and Darlene
15:55linking brilliantly.
15:57Broline and Darlene
15:57again.
15:58This would be
15:59one wonderful goal
16:00however
16:01the finish
16:02wasn't as crisp
16:03as the build-up.
16:05Marvellous build-up there
16:06and now the Swedes
16:08are really starting
16:08to play.
16:09They've got a
16:09two-goal cushion
16:10which is what
16:11Tommy Svensson
16:12would have wanted
16:12and now they can
16:13come out and look
16:14for the really goal
16:15that does kill off
16:16this game once and
16:16for all
16:17which would be
16:17the third goal.
16:18Some really poor
16:20yellow cards
16:20in this World Cup.
16:21I know early on
16:21they wanted to
16:22establish the fact
16:24that people weren't
16:24going to get away
16:24with things
16:25and weren't going
16:25to be kid referees
16:26but I think
16:27they've maybe gone
16:27just a little too far
16:28the other way.
16:29I didn't see anything
16:30wrong with what
16:30Thurn did then
16:31but now they've got
16:32to face another
16:33free kick again
16:33as well.
16:36Well it looks
16:37spectacular
16:37in fact it was
16:38a good effort
16:38because the keeper
16:39obviously just got
16:40a touch to it there
16:41and the substitute
16:42almost turned away
16:44in celebration.
16:45I thought that
16:46Ravelli had it covered
16:47but it was a little
16:48bit closer perhaps
16:48than I'd imagine
16:49from Al Mualid.
16:51I'm not sure
16:51he wouldn't have
16:51gone over anyway
16:52but just to make sure
16:53he just gets a little
16:54flick on it.
16:55Yeah that's what
16:55I was thinking
16:55that it was going
16:56to go over
16:56and he had it covered
16:57anyway.
16:57It's a corner
16:58and he's come
17:00for that one
17:00rather optimistically
17:01and it was only
17:03because they had
17:03so many defenders
17:04in the six-yard box
17:05that they prevented
17:06a goal there
17:07by Falata.
17:09Alan Ingersson
17:10did very very well
17:11there.
17:11He just jumped
17:12on the chance
17:13the off chance
17:13of it hitting him
17:14and that's exactly
17:15what it did
17:16and he saved
17:16the skins
17:17a little bit there.
17:19Good period
17:19for Saudi Arabia
17:20and a very good
17:21corner.
17:22It almost curled
17:23its way straight in
17:24and Ravelli
17:25had to fingertip
17:26it away.
17:26That was well taken
17:28and suddenly
17:29the Saudi fans
17:31and quite a few
17:32of them here
17:33I can tell you
17:33and the neutral
17:34Americans seem
17:35to have sided
17:35with them
17:35feel that there's
17:37a chance of them
17:37getting back
17:38into this game
17:38now.
17:40Alkulawi
17:41heads it straight
17:42back in
17:42but the whistle
17:43has gone
17:43and the excitement
17:45throw in.
17:48Brazilian referee
17:49a bit fussy
17:49with his last
17:50couple of cautions
17:51I feel.
17:52He's been very fussy
17:52and we've got a lot
17:53of yellow cards
17:54in a game
17:54that's never
17:55ever been anything
17:56but very fairly
17:56played at the
17:57right sort of
17:57pace and the
17:58right sort of
17:59attitude.
18:01Now Danger
18:02again.
18:03Oh it's a good
18:04effort by
18:04Alwadi
18:04and the rebound
18:06just wouldn't
18:06come to where
18:07Aljabar wanted
18:08it.
18:09However
18:10they're still
18:11in possession
18:11here Saudi
18:12Arabia
18:12looking dangerous
18:13with Kadishan
18:14the substitute
18:16but he in the
18:17end curls his
18:18shot wide
18:19of the post
18:19and with 15
18:20minutes remaining
18:21despite that
18:22flurry of
18:23activity
18:23it's still
18:23looking odds
18:24on Sweden
18:24Kevin.
18:25Yes and this
18:26man in the
18:26picture
18:27Ravelli
18:27he's had his
18:27critics
18:28but I'll tell
18:28you he's had
18:29an excellent
18:29game today
18:30that's a very
18:31difficult one
18:31for him to
18:31get down to.
18:32It's two up in
18:43this attack
18:43Saudi Arabia
18:44then a third
18:45player
18:45the substitute
18:46Al Mualib
18:47joining in the
18:47attack
18:48the chance
18:48here
18:48into the
18:50side netting
18:51off Ravelli's
18:52outstretched
18:53palm
18:53he's furious
18:54with the
18:54defenders
18:55for giving
18:56Gashian
18:56so much room
18:57to turn in
18:58and get the
18:58shot.
18:58Another
19:01terrific save
19:02here
19:02it's going
19:02in
19:02there's no
19:03doubt about
19:03it
19:03and this
19:04man has
19:04had a
19:05terrific
19:06game
19:06that's four
19:07good saves
19:07I make it
19:08How good are
19:10they?
19:11How good can
19:11they be
19:12Kevin
19:12this Swedish
19:12side?
19:13Well we
19:14haven't really
19:14found out
19:15that much
19:15today
19:15because
19:16although
19:16they've
19:17done a
19:17very
19:17competent
19:18job
19:18I mean
19:19to be
19:20fair
19:20I think
19:20the Saudis
19:21will be
19:21slightly
19:21disappointed
19:22apart from
19:22the first
19:2215 minutes
19:23they haven't
19:23asked more
19:24questions
19:24of him
19:24but there's
19:26a problem
19:27now
19:27and good
19:29play by
19:29Geshard
19:29oh what a
19:30superb goal
19:31that was
19:32by Geshard
19:33well
19:36if that's
19:39their last
19:39contribution
19:40to this
19:40World Cup
19:41it is
19:42a typically
19:42spectacular
19:43one
19:44Alan that
19:47is a
19:47marvellous
19:47goal
19:48by anybody's
19:49standards
19:50I mean
19:50he's
19:50dummied to
19:51cross it
19:52I was worried
19:53when I saw
19:53him going
19:54to cross it
19:54because there
19:54was nobody
19:55in there
19:55and he's
19:56put it
19:56right across
19:57the goalkeeper
19:58into the
19:58top corner
19:59watch this
19:59it's a
20:00fantastic goal
20:01look at the
20:02angle
20:02oh he's
20:03put it
20:03in the
20:03near side
20:04there you
20:06go
20:06he thought
20:07he was
20:07going to
20:07cross it
20:07sells the
20:08dummy
20:08and he
20:09whips it
20:09in
20:09terrific
20:10finish
20:11well now
20:13with five
20:14minutes to
20:14go
20:14could that
20:15still give
20:16us a
20:16dramatic
20:17story
20:17here
20:18in Dallas
20:19Farhead
20:22Al-Gashian's
20:23goal
20:23having been
20:24on the
20:24field about
20:2515 minutes
20:25as a
20:26substitute
20:26has made
20:28it
20:28Saudi
20:29Arabia
20:29one
20:29Sweden
20:30two
20:30and given
20:31the Saudis
20:32a hope
20:32now
20:33because it's
20:33difficult to
20:34see how
20:34Sweden can
20:34suddenly pick
20:35up a gear
20:35again
20:36and we
20:37could have
20:38an exciting
20:38finish yet
20:39and here
20:41is the
20:41goalscorer
20:42Al-Gashian
20:43good tackle
20:45nothing wrong
20:46with that
20:46some of them
20:47were complaining
20:47the Saudis
20:48that should
20:48have been
20:49a free kick
20:49but Young
20:50timed his
20:51tackle beautifully
20:52yeah he wasn't
20:53going to fall
20:53for that one
20:53again
20:54I think it was
20:55Younger he did
20:55before he scored
20:56the goal
20:57and he didn't
20:58buy the dummy
20:58that time
20:59but he set up
21:00this last
21:01four or five
21:02minutes
21:02and as in
21:02every game
21:03they played
21:04two or three
21:04minutes extra
21:05time
21:05haven't they
21:05so we could
21:06have as much
21:06as eight
21:07minutes left
21:07for them
21:08to get
21:08another goal
21:09and make
21:09it
21:10you know
21:10still go
21:11actually to
21:11San Francisco
21:12it's not
21:14impossible
21:14is it anymore
21:15absolutely
21:16well naturally
21:21enough the
21:22Saudis are
21:22quickening things
21:23up now
21:23and there's a
21:25bit of belief
21:25about them
21:26which they
21:26hadn't really
21:27been for a
21:27while in this
21:28second half
21:29after they
21:29conceded the
21:30second goal
21:30although they've
21:31been playing
21:31well enough
21:32it was almost
21:33as though they
21:34didn't really
21:35convince themselves
21:36that they could
21:37get back in the
21:38game
21:38here goes Broly
21:39and Dali
21:40it could still
21:40be all over
21:41yet
21:41it is
21:43and it had to
21:45be Kenneth
21:45Anderson who
21:46finished them
21:46off
21:47made one
21:48scored two
21:49a place in
21:50the quarterfinals
21:51he will be the
21:53headline maker
21:54in Sweden
21:55tomorrow
21:55well
21:59you've got to
22:01feel a little
22:01bit sorry for
22:01Saudi then
22:02they've got
22:03back into it
22:04been given a
22:05lifeline
22:05and then suddenly
22:07it's that man
22:07Anderson again
22:08and it's a great
22:09ball from Dali
22:10into him
22:10and this is a
22:11good finish
22:11again
22:12in off the
22:13far post
22:13Kenneth
22:17Anderson's
22:17third goal
22:18of this
22:18World Cup
22:19and it could
22:20not have
22:21been better
22:21time
22:21the
22:26slight
22:27brief
22:29revival
22:30staged by
22:31Saudi Arabia
22:31is killed
22:32almost instantly
22:33and with only
22:35two minutes
22:35to go now
22:36Sweden
22:36are in
22:38the quarterfinals
22:39unless
22:40there's a
22:40miracle
22:40there might
22:45well have been
22:46as well
22:46with a shot
22:47from that
22:48range
22:48by
22:49Al Mualid
22:50but I think
22:51once more
22:52Ravelli knew
22:53that was going
22:53over
22:54long long
22:59way out
22:59this shot
23:00but you know
23:01if you don't
23:02buy a ticket
23:02you can't win
23:03the raffle
23:03a little bit
23:04low
23:05and I think
23:06we should
23:06give full
23:07praise as well
23:07to Saudi Arabia
23:08who seemingly
23:09are going out
23:10now for the
23:10contribution they've
23:11made to this
23:11World Cup
23:12as we've been
23:12saying all day
23:13they've surprised
23:14a lot of people
23:15their football's been
23:16good and neat
23:16there's nothing
23:17overly physical
23:18about their play
23:19they've scored
23:19some excellent
23:20goals and that's
23:20continued today
23:21and they have
23:23totally justified
23:24their place
23:25here
23:25John Harkes
23:27being one that
23:28immediately comes
23:28to mind
23:29got to feel
23:30very sorry
23:31good cross
23:32there
23:32oh the keeper
23:33who hasn't
23:34had a great deal
23:35to do other than
23:35fish the ball
23:36out of the net
23:36in the second
23:36half
23:37they are
23:38made a good
23:39clean catch
23:39then
23:39we've had
23:40two and a half
23:41minutes now
23:42of stoppage
23:43time
23:43and that's it
23:45it's all over
23:46and we know
23:47another quarter
23:48finalist
23:49in this World Cup
23:50it will be Sweden
23:51winners by three
23:53goals to one
23:53two for Kenneth
23:54Andersen
23:55one for Darlene
23:56Andersen was the
23:57star of the show
23:58the Saudi Arabians
23:59scored a splendid
24:00one themselves
24:01through Shubhsut
24:01Gashiyan
24:02but Tommy Spensen
24:04Sweden
24:04will go through
24:05into the last eight
24:06where Ravelli
24:07will presumably
24:08equal the Swedish
24:09caps record
24:10final score
24:11Sweden
24:12three
24:13Saudi Arabia
24:14one
24:14we'll be back
24:14after the break
