Amroha (Uttar Pradesh) – A clash broke out between two communities in Thana Naugawan Sadat area on 18 June after a bike collided with a car. Tensions escalated when members of the Dalit community allegedly vandalised and set fire to the house of a Muslim youth involved in the accident. A cotton warehouse was also torched.
Several people from both sides were injured. Police and fire brigade reached the spot swiftly and controlled the situation. Heavy police and PAC deployment continues. FIR has been filed and arrests are expected soon.
