00:00The world's most advanced fighter jet, the F-35, is in India but this time the
00:04reason will surprise you. This tweet by the Indian Air Force has sparked massive
00:09speculation. The Indian Air Force claimed it detected and identified a British F-35
00:15jet with its IACCS network. In other words, India's integrated air command and
00:22control system. Now the F-35 is considered the best stealth fighter jet
00:26in the world and the claim that India can track it has sparked a lot of buzz as
00:31Indian Air Force assisted this jet to land in Kerala after facing an emergency.
00:38It could be possible that this F-35 was not operating in stealth mode or if India
00:44can track it then it means the Indian Air Force can also possibly track the
00:48Chinese J-35 jets which Pakistan is acquiring from Beijing. But that
00:54discussion is for another video. A British F-35 fighter jet abruptly landed on
01:00Indian soil on Saturday night. The jet made an emergency landing in Thiruvananthapuram
01:04International Airport in Kerala due to low fuel and harsh sea conditions
01:09according to official sources. The F-35 jet had reportedly taken off from a
01:14British aircraft carrier deployed in the Arabian Sea around a hundred nautical
01:18miles from the Indian coast. It was granted permission by the airport
01:22authorities and landed safely around 9 30 pm local time. This after emergency was
01:28triggered on board the F-35 by reduction of fuel levels and worsening sea
01:33conditions. The pilot sensed it would have been unsafe to return to his own
01:37carrier. The request was given immediate consideration considering harmful
01:42consequences and without much delay allowing the jet to arrive at the Indian
01:47airport safely. It was directed to Bay 4 of the airport where necessary ground
01:51support was provided. The Indian Air Force confirmed the incident and stated
01:55that it extended full support to the British crew and aircraft. The jet was
01:59refuelled the following morning and coordination between Indian and British
02:03authorities took place regarding its return to its carrier. The emergency marks a
02:08significant moment as it is reportedly the first time a foreign F-35 has made an
02:14unscheduled landing on Indian soil. The incident highlights the importance of
02:18international coordination and readiness in handling in-flight emergencies involving
02:23advanced military aircraft. The Royal Navy and Indian authorities both treated the
02:28event with highest professionalism emphasizing mutual cooperation and trust
02:33between both the nations. The safe landing and subsequent support have been praised as
02:37an example of smooth crisis management between allied defense forces. The Indian Air Force
02:43also confirmed the incident saying they assisted the aircraft for safety reasons. In a statement,
02:49the IAF said, quote, IAF is fully aware and facilitated the aircraft for flight safety reasons.
02:55All assistance being given and IAF is in coordination with all agencies, unquote. The Indian Air Force
03:02explained the situation further stating, quote, on having declared a diversion of an emergency, the F-35B was
03:09detected and identified by the Indian Air Force's integrated air command and control system and cleared
03:16for emergency landing, unquote. A retired officer while talking to Hindustan Times called it a rare
03:22situation but common. He said, quote, the jet may have been airborne for routine flying as part of its
03:28training exercise. Once airborne, the pilot may have faced an emergency and perhaps wasn't in a position to go back
03:35to the mothership, unquote. Now, this is the same F-35 stealth fighter jet which US President Donald Trump
03:42offered to India during Prime Minister Modi's visit to America earlier this year. A deal which would have
03:47elevated India to a NATO level ally, allowing access to the most cutting edge US defense technology.
03:54Ultimately provide India with the F-35 stealth fighters. Developed by Lockheed Martin for United States
04:01and Allies, the F-35 Lightning is regarded as one of the most advanced and versatile aircraft of all
04:08times. It is also reportedly the most costly defense project ever with nearly 1.7 trillion dollars spent
04:16on its development and manufacturing. So, do you want India to buy the F-35? Leave a comment with your
